Pretty sure there will be an X Plus or Xs Plus? Either way I'm very happy to use the X until then. It's smaller yes but screen real estate isn't that much smaller. I'm used to it already.

4.7 users are having hard times stretching their hands to reach top and bottom dead zone. it is not designed for any human being and it is a design failure
How so? Small hands? Reachability is activated by double tapping on the home button. Same as the plus.

I wonder if there will be another phone that is between the 8 and SE size. Now that would be quite something.

All screen at that size would be really neat.

Constant threads of Plus users moaning that they feel disappointed by the smaller phone. Well clearly it wasn't designed for you. The 8 Plus was.

The 4.7" iPhone users will love the similar sized phone with a much bigger screen. (This has been my dream for many many years now)

Now that I'm using the iPhone X there's no way i could go back. I can see me using this phone for many years to come. And its only this version of the phone i'd ever want. I won't want the plus size version of it i do not need an iPad mini in my pocket.

And I'm sure many of you feel the same.

iPhone X OLED screen and build quality has completely topped the list of best iPhone designs in my book. The iPhone 4/4S has now been one upped.
Coming from the 6+, 6s + and 7+, I am pleasantly happy with how the X feels in the hand. Too me it’s the best of both worlds. Have all of the features of the Plus, but in a smaller size.

Except really you don't have all the features of the plus. I mean, well you do now. But when the X is properly equalized the X will again be less featured than the X+.

And when that day comes, I’m going to enjoy running through all the variables in choosing a new companion.

For now, the choice is between X and 8+ for flagship.

I don't think anyone would want an X Plus, should such a device come into existence, if you've come from a Plus to the X. The screen on the X is sufficient in terms of size, albeit a smidge "narrow" in comparison to the current Plus model(s). If it were any taller and wider it would be cumbersome to swipe down from, or comfortably hold, while using. Imagine having to use the home button on the current Plus model(s) to swipe between apps or go to the home screen and then reaching to the top of the Plus model(s) to get to Notifications or the Control Center? I can't. You're basically wishing into existence a bezel-less iPad mini.

I love when people use absolutes. I'm a Plus owner and it was exactly designed for me.

Sorry.

Not all the features...

I’ve lost all the landscape goodiness, I lost that crazy battery life, I lost the access to spin the phone upside down and place in my cup holder while it’s charging and still be able to use Apple maps, and the screen while taller, is not nearly as wide. There are some short comings with the X, however it’s still a very good Apple product.

I’m a plus user since they were released, and I do like the X, but there are things I very much so miss.

Yea just like Samsung is having a real hard time selling that larger version of the S8, and jeez that Note series...Forget about it, it’s going to tank Samsung into bankruptcy because bigger versions of phones just don’t sell.

Come on now, just because you may have little teny tiny hands and can’t use the device, there’s a lot of us that can, jeeez I even know a ton of girls that were iphone plus users and loved the phone. Don’t knock it because it’s not to your liking Mr.

Me. I want that kind of device. I love small phones, but if the screen size is borderline iPad Mini, that’s not a bad thing.

My phone is almost never used as a phone. I would say it’s 5% phone. The rest is a pocket computer.

I think it's a compromised design that many people aren't happy with. The screen is too big for non-plus users because it can't be used one-handed.

I come from a 5s, have small lady hands, and have no issues using the X one-handed...if there is any difficulty, there is reachability. For corner gestures, there is reachability. The only thing I would not do one handed is very intense and lengthy typing (a quick message using my thumb to type is fine). I just typed this response one handed. I love the size of the X; perfect for me.

Have you read around this forum? *I* am not in the market for an X Plus but there is certainly a market for one.

I guess Samsung was misguided in their S8+ then. This is the same thing Jobs was saying and the plus versions were made and sold well.

I want an X+.

Whoh whoh whoh... no turn upside down in a car cup holder to charge & use Maps.

Not cool.

I've been using "Plus" sized phones ever since they came out... and am very happy with the X. Would I buy a larger X? Yes! But I'm quite happy and would not go back to an 8Plus.

I think it's a compromised design that many people aren't happy with. The screen is too big for non-plus users because it can't be used one-handed. For plus users, even though the screen has a longer diagonal measurement, the screen is actually smaller in area. Apple should've went ahead and released two X's, a regular model around 5" and a plus model around 6.4".
So you're saying the X has missed the mark from the point of view of both non plus & plus users?

I'd say most non-plus users think of it as the perfect happy medium.

& as can be seen from plus users in this thread alone, they're also happy with it.

Are you sure you're not just looking at the minority negative views of the X & blowing them out of proportion?

I've been trying to find a reason to keep 2 iPhones.
....
Why on earth would you want to carry 2 phones when today's smartphones are multi-tasking beasts?

I had two for years (work & personal) & when I had the opportunity to merge both work/personal use into the one handset, life got much easier..

Yes, I'm saying that as far as some users go, certainly not all. Obviously some people will think the X is the absolute perfect size as is. That said, you can't really argue that Apple couldn't have made a much wider range of customers happy if they had released an X and X+ that were respectively smaller and larger than the current model.

This has nothing to do with reviews, just the fact that most people have enjoyed the choice Apple has offered since the release of the plus models. I've seen tons of people on this forum say they'd be all in on an X+ model if Apple offered one next year.

The 10 is for anyone who wants the best iPhone and doesn’t want a phone the size (width) of a plus , period.

That's true about the width of the iPhone Plus. And I also agree that even holding the iPhone X is much more comfortable with one handed use over the Pus. I'm sure others would argue what is best, but I agree that iPhone X is the best model they offer at this point.

Had the 8+ since launch, it was my first plus phone and It was amazing to me how fast a person can adapt to a large phone because of the absolutely remarkable screen size and immersion you get from a larger screen. Picking up the regular 8 felt like an amazing feeling every time I did though and I imagined how that felt if it was all screen. The X does that and then some, with the addition to adding new gestures that only take a few times to memorize or the ALMOST seemless transition to Face ID. I think the X has set the bar, but the 8 perfected that design and is an amazing phone.

It honestly feels like 2010 again for me when it comes to the iPhone.

X is a great iPhone, and happy to have it - but having come from the 7+ there are some adjustments.. it's not as wedged in my pocket as the + used to be. I see it poking out the corner as I walk, and worry it might just slip out, and it's dainty enough that I worry if I'd even notice.

It genuinely feels a lot smaller. It basically feels like a non-plus previous gen model to my hand (the 6 was the last non-plus I had), and it feels very much like that to me.

Yet, screen-wise, it's not 'reachable' like the standard 6 was. With the plus, I adapted to using reachability often; with the X, it's a little more fiddly, but no less necessary.

I do... kinda... miss the heft and the fluidity I reached in my workflow with the 7+, but it's just an adjustment.
