That’s... that’s not “both ways”. The Mac Pro is a tiny sliver of all the revenue that Apple makes... that’s true. AND pros who buy Apple’s insanely expensive Mac Pro makes Apple a profit. Enthusiasts that don’t buy it are NOT making Apple a profit. That’s also true. The Mac Pro is irrelevant revenue vs rest of Apple so it doesn’t matter, but conveniently Mac pros make them a lot of money.
he had the charisma to burn them and seduce people into rebuilding that.
You can’t have it both ways. He can’t have the charisma to burn bridges and seduce people and then come groveling back. And, FCP folks will tell you, Apple didn’t come groveling back. They went ahead with FCPX, with no upgrade path, and those who didn’t like it went to other products and never came back. Of course the FCPX market is now larger than FCP7 ever was, so the results speak for themselves.Apple came groveling back to the pros after a miststep with Fcp7
No need to cover for Apple or Steve Jobs here. Sometimes they burn bridges.
Where did I say it’s not going to happen? If anything, I said if it happens it just won’t be as a response to the amount of tortured apologies on macrumors. Do you honestly and fervently believe that the leadership at Apple makes decisions in that way?As for you not thinking it’s going to happen
