The passport looks pretty cool in my opinion lol, the keyboard looks awfully scrunched up though.
Perfect for the back pocket, that's what everyone wants a big ass screen
Z3 in people's hands in India July 3rd. Until then it can be pre-ordered.
Available in UAE and Saudi Arabia in July, then Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait.
BB fudged the launch, the z3 should have been Rs 12k or MAX 13K not Rs 16,000/-
Some competitors: Samsung Galaxy Grand 2, Nokias, Samsung Galaxy Grand Quottro, Panasonic, LG, Micromax, Karbonn, Lava, Xolo etc etc or the moto g @ Rs 12,499/- and the moto e @ Rs 6,999/-
The z3 should depreciate to Rs 11,500/- in about a month or 2, full of fail.
Just look at the history of bb10's depreciation in India:
Z10 launched @ Rs 43,000 -> Rs 29,000 -> Rs 15,000/-
Z30 launched @ Rs 39,000 -> Rs 35,000 -> Rs 29.990/-
Well, you can't have the Z3 in India at the same price as in Indonesia because of taxes.
Bs!!! Other oem's prices increase by only 10% when comparing prices between Indonesia and India, not 30%.
Blackberry India hinted at a price of Rs 11,000. This is completely disingenuous.
Blackberry can no longer compete. They are hemorrhaging users, down to thier last 45 million. This seals it.
I don't think BlackBerry hinted at that price, but other people just converted the $200 BlackBerry said it was supposed to be in Indonesia, the launch market.
Once more Complete BS cube.
Everyone was reporting it:
"BlackBerry Z3 Coming to India For Rs 11000, Confirmed By CEO John Chen"

"BlackBerry CEO John Chen confirms Z3 India launch"
"The invite hints at a phone that will appeal to the price sensitive India market. BlackBerry had launched the Z3 in Indonesia, last month at IDR 2,199,000 (approximately Rs 11,000) so it is expected that the company may launch the phone at an aggressive price in India. "

Show me where BlackBerry said the expected price in India would be Rs 11,000.
I said HINTED, and I provided the bolded quote and the links above, don't move the goal post.
The z3 is DOA just like all the other bb10 devices that took down blackberry, not opinion but fact:
http://mobile.bloomberg.com/video/b...flops-of-all-time-fjZdysyoTJOskH7bfI5P_Q.html
"BlackBerry's Four Biggest Flops of All Time
6 days ago"
"The second device on this list is the BlackBerry Q10. With a swanky unveiling featuring Alicia Keys, BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) hoped that the Q10, described in the Bloomberg report as a qwerty equivalent of the Z10, would revive its floundering sales. However, sales were described as “dismal” and the smartphone did not sell as well as the company hoped.
The biggest flop, however, is the BlackBerry Z10, Bloomberg Ranx reveals. According to the report, the all-touchscreen device was hyped as the company’s “savior” but ended up failing to redeem the device-maker. Only 2.7 million units of the smartphone were sold which was way below the 3.6-million-unit sales estimate. After the flop which was the Z10, BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) stock plunged 28%, the most it has declined since the dot-com crash. The Z10 also resulted in a $1-billion write-off for the company only 8 months after its release in January last year."
They did not hint at Rs 11,000. The press did.
The Z10 listed for around $600 originally, too much. The Z3 has a bit lower specs in general, but the starting price is $200. I see that as progress.
I got the Z10 when it reached $330 in Europe, and now I could get it for $220.
Now, at that price, I'd rather get the über-discounted Z10 than the Z3.
That's what everybody including the press are saying. As I posted above the z10 can be found for around Rs 14,000/-, and the moto g is cheaper. z3=DOA
it was hinted by blackberry. That's how it's playing out in the press/public perception.
The Z10 might disappear soon. Then it won't be a choice (new).
And if the Z3 price drops to $150, then people might have no regrets.
I guess some might prefer the big screen even if almost all the rest of the specs are lower.
The BlackBerry Store at The Dubai Mall started taking Z3 preorders. $245
$55 worth of premium apps will be given to those buying in July, I don't know if it applies to preorders.
I will bet dollars to donuts that the price conscience consumers will not pick the mot of over the z3 and if the want a larger screen they will get a cheaper android also ran with a better display.
I have read of returns on crackberry citing the sub par screen quality as the reason the Indonesian consumer have returned thier z3.
Z3=DOA=the passport aka Quasimodo.
I wonder what bb is going to do now that android replaced dalvik with art, I guess amazon has them covered until they go 64 bit as well.
Without current apps, rip Bb10. Obsolete in less then 1 year. Atleast palm got to release the palm 3, well partially. Bb 10 hardware will not see a third generation. Mark my words.
----------
So what? Bbmx has been released for a while now and with it they migrated to iOS and android. Bb dropped close to 40 million legacy subcribers since bbmx was released.
I'm including bb's revenue by region breakdown for the quarter, showing the steep decline in revenue (illustrating the decline in subcribers) for the Middle East and Africa. Also note bb has hemorrhaged substantial revenue from the Asian sector over the past year, well everywhere really.
Blackberry's hardware aspirations are dead, now that service revenue outwighs hardware revenue by 1.5x, the fat lady has sung.

BlackBerry just launched a site for you today:
http://blogs.blackberry.com/category/blackberry-fact-check/
Thanks, they said I was factually correct.
I just saw the screenshots posted on crackberry. I'm really questioning the reasons behind the virtual keyboard along with the actual keyboard.
Image
So what's the point of having the keyboard in the first place if the virtual "symbols" keyboard takes up half the screen?
Hahaha.
It's as redundant as having a blackberry in 2014.
Maybe the virtual row can be disabled.

Germany disagrees with that comparison.
Germany disagrees with you.
