I must be the only person who isn't blown away by lyrics being a new option. In all my years of owning iPods and phones, I never once cared enough about reading lyrics while listening to music. If I really needed to know a lyric, I just Googled it. Apple has broken too many things with the Music app for me to give them kudos on a simple lyrics "feature."

I took the plunge and updated to 10.0.2 (all the way from 9.0.1!)

I was prepared for the experience, and on the whole, I'm surprisingly fine with the update. Even the Music app doesn't bother me anymore, and I appreciate how much smoother it runs with MUCH less lag, if any (I'm on an iPhone 6).

The only bug is the lack of Artist images with no ability to use album covers for artists that don't have an Apple certified image to use. My library is 75% blank microphones LOL

I hope Apple fixes this bug soon. But in the end, I'm okay with the update. I always have Cesium for when I want that classic iOS music experience :)

The music app has been a mess for a while. Personally a glitch that's been bothering me since the last iOS is shuffled music repeating itself. I was hoping it would be fixed by now but nope. I really should report it

Theoretically, a song may repeat themselves when shuffling. But if a song repeats itself too often in shuffle mode, then something is going wrong.

It's not just a song, it's a whole collection of songs.

I have a 300+ song playlist that I routinely play on shuffle. Often, the same 20ish songs will play, in their exact same sequence as they did previously.

The fix is to switch to another album or playlist, then switch back.

Not sure if this is a music app "bug/feature" or a general iOS thing, but when I'm listening to music the open another app (like a game) the music will automatically lower even if the volume slider is at the same level the actual sound goes down.

I'm fed up with this POS phone to be honest.

I'd love to be able to move to Spotify, but I can't because Apple and their idiotic restrictions dictate that you can't have a time scrubber in the lock screen or control centre for a third party app. This is downright anticompetitive behaviour and should be grounds for legal action.

I really have tried to enjoy Apple Music, but I just can't.

I can't listen to 5 songs in a row without an advertisement for the station playing, despite Apple stating that a subscription gives us interruption-free playback.

I can't listen to 20 songs in a row without many repeats of the same tracks.

I can't go to Browse -> Genre, tap on the top right, and start a station for that genre. The button just seems to not do anything.

I can't listen to music at all or even load the app if I have not perfect internet connection, despite Spotify being able to load entire tracks in half a second on 1 bar of LTE.

I can't reorganize my upcoming music queue; I can only delete tracks from upcoming list, which sometimes glitches out and re-adds those tracks anyway.

I'm sorry - how can the world's richest tech company release software this bad? How is it that Apple can't just be good at even one thing they do nowadays? I can't stand this horrid company's terrible decisions anymore.

I can understand people not liking Apple Music. Different strokes, for different folks and all. That said, I've not had any of those issues. I'm not trying to say it's a perfect service. It's not. Just that your list is so intensive, there must be another reason for your specific issues. Try a clean install, or reset your settings.

I have already done those things. I'm probably pickier than the average person. You don't notice these issues. It's just that when I spend 1000 dollars on a device, I expect a 1000 dollar device.

Well to be fair, your $1000 device does work. The $9.99 service you are using doesn't work, for you.

The music app doesnt cost 1000$ :D

It's one of the main features of the phone. If it can't be effectively used as an iPod then its basically a crippled device. Saying it doesn't cost anything is like saying the camera on the phone doesn't cost anything. I know you're trying to be funny/clever but it's really a disgrace that they've made the app so bad.

Your other complaint's are pretty valid, but that one to me is inexcusable. It is not an intentional feature either that made it worse like the other ones, its a glaring bug that's been present since the last major iOS update

Yeah I realized that after I made that last comment. Done replying to these two tbh

If this is the case, Marvis rating feature would not work whatsoever. But I will test it.

Marvis+ includes all in-app purchases.
Marvis does not include.

Do you know if Marvis fully supports iOS 10.x? I know Cesium does.

Looks like I may finally need to update. This is one of my deciding factors. Hopefully I can stay on iTunes 12.3.x as well but I suspect not.

Marvis supports iOS 10 with a few trivial issues affecting only plus size device. I use it pretty often starting from first beta of iOS 10.

Thanks!

I see star ratings are back in 10.2. And if memory serves Marvis still supported it even in 10/10.1.

I'm not sure WHAT Apple is doing. I hope THEY do. The music app seems worse with every iteration.

If there's one thing that irks me about Music app/Apple Music is the deciding quite frequently that I need to sign into iTunes.

I've an iPod Touch 6th Gen and when I'm at work and not connected to WiFi it decides to 'grey out' the tracks I've downloaded to my iPod.

Fair enough if I were trying to listen to Music i.e. look for a song/artist/playlist but I'm not.
