Is the below a hint that the Switch 2 might run Switch games in emulation?🤔

“*Nintendo Switch 2 plays both physical and digital Nintendo Switch games.
Certain Nintendo Switch games may not be supported on or fully compatible with Nintendo Switch 2.
Details will be shared on the Nintendo website at a later date.”

I'd assume it would include Labo stuff, since that required stuff build around the Switch.

I really hope it can enhance Zelda BOTW /TOTK. I really like TOTK, but it looks so bad with the low resolution and frame issues.
I played TOTK. One of my favorite games ever. However within 5min you can tell that it was designed for a more powerful console and only just about runs on the Switch. It would be glorious at a more stable frame rate and with improved draw distance and more.

I didnt notice any of that after an hour - it would be nice yeah but its a bit like going round a mates who only has a non-oled 50" tv to watch Matrix - after the initial discomfort it doesnt even register !

I agree! High res, and a stable 60fps for BOTW/TOTK would be glorious!

Now we have to patiently wait for first review if it got stable 30fps via backwards compatibility.
That's a given just by looking at the specifications.

The more I look at the Switch 2 the more sleek and solid it looks, and the more it makes my Steam Deck OLED look like a cheap plastic toy.
Definitely will be taking a look at it, it's a shame I knew exactly what it looked like ages ago because of all the leaks. More fool me for following them.

Also NO ONE knows the actual specs of the console, Nintendo has not released them, it's entirely pure guess work at this point if you post them up and cannot use them for any real comparison. We don't even know if it'll have an LCD or OLED screen.

3-2-1 and nintendolife is sued by nintendo. I don't think this alternative front end will be online for long...

So Nintendo is introducing Virtual Game Cards in order to make it easier to transfer digital games to the Switch 2.
It's not really to transfer games to the Switch 2. It's any Switch console. More for families to move games among multiple units. You can also lend digital games with some restrictions.

I imagine a lot of not-families are just going to transfer games and accounts from the Switch 1 to 2 one time and then sell or store the Switch 1.

Shh, let me bask in the ease of going to the Switch 2...

I also though the family sharing was innovative, it auto removes the games after two weeks so you don't have to remember.
