What does the LE stand for? Do you have a source?

Low Energy.

Nanoamps.

Even while in use, we’re talking around 15mA. That’s tiny. An iPhone 8 battery is over 100 times that. And that’s peak power draw, it’s going to be lower than that.

This. I haven’t turned BT off on any of my phones in years, primarily because I’ve used a smart watch for over 4 years and BT connectivity in my cars. On top of that I’m contantly connecting to BT headphones and speakers throughout the day. And I still get all day battery life. The amount of power saved by toggling it on and off is negligible at best. If it was a significant issue, my Apple Watch and phone would be dead by midday.

And consequently camera is in the worst location. Why not put that small bezel at the top and go to the edge at the bottom? We don’t hold the phone at the top so pushing away from the bottom bezel just increases the reach to the top.
Don't want a small bezel on top. I actually like this more. They can't please everyone.

Out of curiousity, why do you like this design better? Aesthetics? Because it’s not more functional
I don't care about a front cam. I rarely use it. The rear cam is more important for me. And I do like to have a smartphone without bezels. That's why the Vivo Apex is the way smartphone manufacturers are heading to.

I think they are headed that direction as well. They still need to allow a little top bezel to accommodate camera and proximity sensors. But that is a very nice looking phone.

They don't need to. It's probably going to be the sensors and camera inside the screen just like the fingerprintscanner.

That would be shocking if true, (a) because that tech wasn't predicted for at least another 2-3 years & (b) why would they have that chin if they somehow managed to place all sensors + camera under the screen?

The vivo DOES have a front top mounted camera though, it pops out mechanically. I can see a lot of breakdown issues, and also user error and user induced damage with that design and really doubt it would become mainstream. Don't get me wrong, I'd buy that vivo in a SECOND if it wasn't a prototype that even they said couldn't be produced at a reasonable price today.

I know others disagree, but I would hate to give up my front camera. I've grown accustomed to selfies with the kids!!

I still think the best solution is a notch that can be hidden through software, just make it as narrow as possible.

selfies are a huge part of phones these days. Hell we have to do this at work when people do a good job lol so that camera popping up would have no end of issues.

I do like the idea though and shows what the future of smartphones will be.
