i'm taking off right now to get in line... but... we're not sure if we're going to be able to get wireless at the location. some hotel has wireless in the area but you need a code to access it. hopefully we'll be able to figure something out.
I'm going to LMAO if I am able to just go get in line after I get off of work at 4:00 and land the iPhone.
we're heading to a location in northwest ohio. it's in maumee... which i'm sure no one's heard of. lol
I hope you do get one, i'm just here to make sure I do because i only have three more days to port my number from Verizon (contract just ended)...plus my new job doesn't start till July 9th, so I really have nothing else to do today (girlfriend is still in Europe).
I have a friend going to the AT&T store to sit in line for me around noon... I would imagine that should be good enough, we have four AT&T stores around here PLUS a Apple Store as well...
All I have to do is buy him some lunch and I'll take over his place in line at 5.

All the guys are really cool, we are gonna hold each other's spots. Also, the Apple Store manager came out and took a pic of us...she said that they will have people working that will hold spots for pee breaks and such.

good luck to all you who get the iPhone.. be sure to report all the bugs and requests/"features" to Apple, so when it launches in Europe, it will be a better device

Orange County - South Coast Plaza Apple Store
South Coast Plaza Apple Store, in line... 33 of about 55 or so.... started letting people in at about 5am, and people were lining up as as early as 4:15am.
Less then 12 hours to go....

Fifth in Line at Millenia Mall Orlando
Posted photos from this morning. More to come on the Flickr account when cool stuff happens. There are people chatting about everything apple, and about how waiting in line in Orlando is nothing new ... we have Universal and Disney!!

EDIT: Line has increased to 90-100 people at 11:05am. A quick survey of the first 30 people in line, almost 100% say that they will be buying two.

I got out of my Verizon contract with no early termination fee on a technicality, and that was June 5. They told me I had 30 days to port my number to a new carrier before I lost my number.

I've been in line since 11PM at the local AT&T store in Avondale, AZ. I'm online with my MBP and a VZW Wireless card. Good times! I've been watching TV via my slingbox all night with an extension cord running to my car for power via an inverter.
I will too. But I can't help but get this nagging fear that I won't get one if I don't get in line early. Plus I don't HAVE to be anywhere today.
