Hi All
Anyone coming along to TPS next weekend? I'm there working, but I'd like to nip off stand to see if I can spend my bonus money!
See if I can expand my Lee filters collection maybe.

If you've there pop along and say high.

Sunday 18th. Should be there around lunchtime..

I just got a set of Lee mist filters... Looking forward to an opportunity to try them out at some point.

I am hoping to make it past the Zeiss stand without a 50 planar in my bag...

...and the Manfrotto stand without a new ballhead

...and the Fuji stand without a X-H1

...
...
...
...
...

and last but not least... Without a Benq monitor from you know who!

Lee mist filters. Mmm they sound tempting. Actually saw Thomas Heaton use some this week.

Expensive buy them as a set rather than individually! the mist stripe is £84 but a set of three including the graduated one is £119. I am looking forward o trying them - and yes it was TH that made me look for them... Can't see the use case for the spot one (yet) but still cheaper than buying the other two seperately.

Don't think I'll be there ..... another nor'easter coming up the coast and they'll probably close the bridge due to the high winds ...

I'll be there on the 19th and 20th. Booked myself in for the Pro Conference business seminars. Hopefully it will keep my mind on work and away from shiny things! I already have a nice Benq monitor so I should be safe there too.

Glad your enjoying your monitor.
We sell other things too :D

I'd love to be there as a customer and actually get to see a few things. Maybe one day!

I'll look into show specials! I have a 0.9 grad and the big stopper already.

Sorry AFB but I’m giving it a miss this year in a cunning plan to not set my credit card on fire. I’ve got a drone shaped hole in my finances that I don’t want to be tempted to fill. Plus it’s my birthday weekend and I’m thinking of a trip to the Natural History Museum to take some piccies.

You’ll have to get your own tea this year fella ;)

You might be ok on the Planar front mate as they didn’t have any on the stand last time I went. Unless they just told me that to try and get me to buy the Sonnar that they gave me to play with instead ;)

If they do have one you might be in trouble as they are awesome lenses!

I would look at the polarizer next then the little stopper then the 0.6 ND or a 0.9 reverse ND... dynamic range on your D750 means you dont have to have every grad available, you dont have to fully balance (though that is best of course), you just need to get close enough to let the dynamic range of your sensor capture the detail then you can balance it in post.

The polarizer is a bit pricey and the cheeky feckers make you buy the ring to mount it on seperately... but it is awful nice...

Well I'll need the mist one for when I visit Scotland. As you know it's always clear up there :p

Tea? Milk no sugar! :D
I'll see if I can find a BenQ screen cleaner for you.

Lol careful... I am not beyond a bit of japery... Brother in law and I scared the bejeesus out of a poor booth worker 2 years ago on the Honda stand at the outdoor show.

So they had a Honda CR-V on stand and the boot lid was open (mini SUV with tailgate open for our colonial cousins). I snook into the back adopting the fetal position and stuffed a handkerchief in my mouth, hands and ankles together like I was tied up. Bro in law shut the boot lid.

Then he goes and gets the wee sales boy looking bored and asks him about the size of the boot(trunk)...

As the boy is opening the boot lid, Brother starts asking if he could fit two dead hookers in the boot and the boy is getting a bit confused... he opens the boot to me screaming get me out! Help me!

The boy nearly collapsed, it was so funny... He saw the funny side once he worked out we were winding him up... We got car wash kits as a freebie for making his day...

I know, really immature but anyone who has done booth duty at a show knows these are the things that help you get through them alive.

I am bringing him with me.... ;)

I realize I'm an American hence my take on tea must be wrong but putting milk in it seems so odd to me! I like it just brewed as whatever higher power intended. lol. But coffee should be, as we New Yorkers call it, light & sweet.

If you plan on heading to Scotland, come around Aug/Sept when I plan to return!

Is this Paul? Tell him you two are due for a trip to NYC! Or LA. I'm back and forth these days and counting the days for this project to be over...which is about 130 give or take. :(

The British ARE the higher powers when it comes to tea... Remember the hissy fit we threw in Boston when you lot tried to mess with our tea! Lol....

Aug/September sounds good.

No not Paul, having met Paul this bit will worry you... This Mark I am talking about. He makes Paul seem quiet and sane... Lol

I may have a picture somewhere...

That sound you can hear is the collective gasp of 65 million Britons followed by a murmur of disapproval.

Does everyone put milk in it? Earl Grey just tastes so good w/o anything added to it.

Sorry for hijacking your thread @Apple fanboy. I wish I was attending the Photography show :(

My wife puts milk in Earl Grey!

I will give this one to you, that is plain wrong....

But yes tea comes with milk in the proper form....

What you should have said is
"I realise I'm American so I'll just bow to your superior knowledge on all things tea!

Funny thing is when I drink coffee I like it without milk or sugar!

So a MR tour of Scotland? Sounds good!

No worries. I'm not precious (unless we're talking tea!)
