Why does everyone feel the need to open 100 threads a day on the same topic

Well, my topic is a little different because i am pointing out the fact that Apple is wasting a lot of screen real estate when other companies manage to make a phone where the whole screen is usable rather than the ugly black bar at the top and bottom. It is obviously doable and i think that it would be a better phone with a full screen, HD or not. I wanted to know what everybody else thought because i haven't seen anybody talking about it. Why do you feel the need to pointlessly post a response on a thread? Is your life that boring?
