Maybe just go for the iPhone 16 Pro Max, since the iPhone 15 Pro Max is a 1st gen Tit product. For the iPhone 16 Pro Max, they might have the uneven display glass better on control.
My goodness. Look at the glass. It’s not uneven. What you are seeing is the reflection on the titanium rounded corners. The glass looks bowed down when there is a shadow on the screen. Bowed up when it’s a highlight. Play of the light.

Must just be a bunch of folks trying to convince themselves they don’t want something. But to think apple placed phones out there with uneven glass😂.

The glass isn’t even thin enough to have that kind of flexibility!!!

People. My goodness.

You assume it is reflection. You don't know that because you haven't had the iPhone in your hand.

As of now, the glass looks uneven from the pictures. As to why, remains to be seen when they become available in the Apple Store.

Everyone there was given a big bag of cheesy poofs while watching the the reveal video so I wouldn’t put much stake in this.

It's a good thing my fingerprints don't permeate the case I'll be using.

I guess I need to use surgical gloves when removing the iPhone from the sealed box and installing the Spigen Liquid Air case onto it.
You joke, but I literally have white handling gloves for this purpose, but I keep my phones looking the same as the day they were removed from the box for resale purposes.

The phone is supposed to be a tool. Complaining about fingerprints on a phone touched by hundreds in a day amounts to complaining just to complain. Your focus is way out of whack. It’s down right stupid. I suggest when you get your new phone, that you leave the box sealed and put it under glass,so it will be easier to stare at and obsess over.
Where was I complaining? I clearly said it wasn't a big deal. I was simply pointing it out. Either way you don't need to be so defensive over a phone.

Saw these on twitter. Looks like the titanium still attracts a ton of fingerprints. Not a huge deal but I did think the brushed metal might prevent them. Oh well.

Yup, those are finger prints.

So much for the solution to the finger print problem. I also have to say that the bright and shiny sharp edged design of the bare stainless steel iPhone I have looks way more attractive than this. The new design may feel better in the hand long term - but this is disappointing.

It doesn’t matter to me as I case all my phones but “premium” is not screaming at you. This is what they will look like at the store with all kinds of people handling them. These are all coated so you don’t even get a bare Titanium model to fool around with to repolish scratches and such.

Now we move on to the scratch and drop tests and see how that goes…

You really think these phones are not meticulously checked before they're put on display? Apple know there are going to be thousands of cameras pointing at these things, every phone will be checked over before being put on these tables. Please have some common sense.

It's not about the fingerprints, you see also discolouration around the buttons.

My iPhone 11 Pro Max doesn't do this, so this is something new.

And it's not stupid. If there is a problem with the 1st generation Tit iPhone, it's best to skip and wait for the next generation.
I imagine the discoulouration around the buttons is because they're raised. Skin won't be touching the area directly surrounding the buttons, so no oil in that area.

I don’t think this thread is that serious, but I do think a lot of us have an unhealthy view of our phones. It’s too precious. It goes from appreciating a tool and taking reasonable care of it, to a kind of obsessive material worship. We do it with everything—cars, shoes, etc. We associate our value with the object, so when it’s smudged or scratched, we are somehow less complete. Of course we don’t want to trash our things and make them an eye sore or repulsive or even worse non-functional. But I think we are at our healthiest with our things when we understand their actual value and treat them no better or worse.
This is one of the most rational and down-to-earth comments I've read on MR as of late. 👍

I guess you haven‘t been around when the M2 MacBook Air was launched? The midnight blue version of the M2 MacBook Air scratches easy and is a finger print magnet.

This was evident during the launch event and this was also later confirmed when checking demo models in the Apple Store.

It‘s why my M2 MacBook Air is the Starlight colour which doesn‘t have this problem.

This has been the case with any dark Apple product, ever...

Sounds like a "smear" campaign....I've used many implements made of Grade 5 Titanium
and never seen such smudges

Apple uses Titanium Grade 5, alloyed with 6% Aluminum and 4% Vanadium
(commonly known as Ti 6Al-4V).

"Space-grade" is marketing speak...it's commonly used in Razors.

what's the second color ? black innit ? so just like macbooks which do not use titanium, dark shades attract FPs. natural titanium and white should be the best colors i presume
