That's interesting, I'm using AW4 with my SE and I did have some issues early on with iOS 13 and 6.

I reset my watch and re-paired. Since then it has worked better but I do notice that siri and calls aren't 100% but seems to work better.

my series 1 won’t update unless I reset it with my XR. I think it’s something to do with OS 6. I wish I’d left it on 3 tbh as it worked great with that.

I get notifications fine. Trying to use Siri to ask a question or make a phone call etc. is where I have trouble a lot of the time. My series 3 has the same problem. If I have my phone and it is unlocked, that can stop the problems some times.
Yes, now that I think about it. Making a phone call on the Watch when the phone is nearby, is hit or miss. Keeps saying failed. Works fine when away from the phone and using LTE.
Mine doesn’t work away from the phone. I haven’t noticed when I have my phone on me.

No urge to upgrade my SE. This thing works great. It’s my little digital swiss army knife that can do everything if and when I need and stays out of the way until then. Don’t want anything bigger. I don’t do much screen consumption outside of the house though. I save that for when I’m home, where I have much bigger screens available.

I have an SE and I love it for its size which is perfect for fitting in a pocket. So disappointed that Apple has stopped making a standard sized phone. I’m considering ditching Apple and getting a Motorola razr despite the price tag and having to move to Android.

4" phones haven't been the standard for more than half a decade at this point.

I tried an 11 for a week, returned it due to stupid-big size. Got an 11 Pro, twice, returned both due to their awful weight & bulk. Grabbed a refurbed 8 off Amazon, love it. Still have my 4 year old SE that still shows 100% battery, won't sell it as it has no resale value, plus it's a great form factor. Curious for the rumored 5.4" 12 as I do like the latest version of FaceID, but their pricing is whacked.

What are the size specs, to our knowledge at this point?
Completely unknown - just some mock-ups that suggest a 5.4" screen in the style of the X/Xs/11 Pro would put the footprint somewhere between the SE and the 8. It will probably have to be on the thicker side too unless they sacrifice battery life (which they may if it's main selling point is the size).

Just upgrade when the SE feels too slow, and keep it as a backup phone. My main phone is 8+ and backup is SE, SE works perfectly when i just go out for drinks, buying something nearby quickly, or just want to limit my mobile use. 8+ is perfect for daily work.

I picked up a new white box SE, my favorite iPhone design so far. Space Grey, 128gb, it's all that. But I just can't see myself using it enough to justify keeping it. For kicks, I listed it on Swappa, but I'll keep it as a backup if it doesn't sell. I just can't see myself going back to that small of a screen as a daily. I think it's a testimony to what a great phone it is, when years later it's still used by so many!

I haven’t updated my signature yet, but I am an SE diehard (had it as main phone since launch) and upgraded to the 11 Pro a few days ago.

I’m really glad I waited to get this phone, because the only things that make it worth it for me are related to this year’s upgrades (durability, camera, battery, fast FaceID, matte back, really like the midnight green too).

However, it really is just too big. In terms of form factor it isn’t an improvement at all over the SE. If my SE didn’t have problems with its ports, a broken volume button, and diminishing battery life, I would’ve kept it. I will be giving this phone to my Dad as soon as a smaller Pro phone is available. I was also OK with upgrading because - since obviously these things are decided far in advance - I already casted my “vote” to Apple that I loved the SE and want a smaller phone. If they’re going to give a smaller option this year, it’s already set in stone.

Love my SE. I've used it happily for the last 4 years without any problems, I won't let it go until it totally falls apart. The screen isn't the best, but for my purposes it works just fine, I use it mainly to read text messages, make phone calls, listen to music, take the occasional photo, and so on. The battery life is still pretty good and I love that I can fit it into any pocket and use it single-handedly. There's also the bonus of extra privacy, smaller phones are just more discreet, and touch ID is miles better than face ID IMO, I dislike the trend of phones becoming less anonymous. AND of course the headphone jack is all sorts of wonderful :)

SE 32gb owner since my 8+ 256 broke (see previous post). Will wait for March/April to upgrade to SE2 if it is there. But I still have my broken Iphone 8+, in a plastic bag because the screen is completely destroyed, as well as the front face. Apple told me they could replace it as new but current price for replacement is 430€. I was happy with my Iphone 8 + (great pictures and 2x tele was great) but it was too big for my pockets and little hands. Plus 256 is too much unless you are a power user. I think 256gb is ideal however for Ipads. Lessons learned: 1) small size matters 2) 64 gb is IMHO the ideal capacity for an Iphone if you have Icloud. 3) I don’t play games anymore, even on on my Ipad 4) 128 is comfortable but overkil 5) I lost 799€ which was the price of my 8+ when I bought it last year. Question: Is it still worth replacing it my 8+ for 430€? And then perhaps resell it for 500€?

How is Touch ID “miles better”? Have you tried the latest Face ID found on iPhone 11 (Pro) series? I have used the latest Touch ID and Face ID variants and can assure you that the latest Face ID performs much better. ✌️

I was also a TouchID diehard, until I got my 11 Pro Max. Turned out FaceID works so well and transparently that I don't miss TouchID at all and would be annoyed to have to go back to it. The biggest complaints I've heard over the past two years, like not working in the sun or when laying in bed, were not issues for me at all.

Now, I'm sure there's some people for whom FaceID doesn't work well, but, coming from experience, don't knock FaceID until you've tried it. It's really, really good.
