It's been a while since I worked there, but for those needing VzW to request a hold for pick-up, you can call Customer Service, explain your situation, and ask for an ITTS ticket to request that FedEx hold the package for the pick-up. They may have changed the name of the system; when I worked there, that what it was called and where we could go to make requests of the shipper. Otherwise, you'll wait have to wait for FedEx to make a delivery attempt before more options become available.

I'm curious as to why that is the case. Any reason why to not start with the iCloud backup right away?

One, for me at least, is because I'm on the 11.2 beta, so I dont want that on my new phone, but also I Just figure setting it up as new, will make it run best. Maybe theres some corrupted file, or something similar on my phone that I dont want going over to my X? Idk! Curious to hear what others say

My debit card was charged last night at 7:00 pm. When I ordered on 11/27 @ 1:06 mst I had a 11/3 delivery date.

My question is how long does it usually take to get the shipping info after the card has been charged? It's now 12:30 pm and nothing yet.

I checked the spam bin, and nothing there either. It's not a super big deal, but I'm bored and just thought I would ask.

Thanks!

GBA
MY shipping info came almost 18-20 hours after charge on card
[doublepost=1509562554][/doublepost]Finally, both orders have shipped, sitting in Memphis with 11/3 delivery. Does anyone know what indirect signature requirement for Fedex means, can I leave a note on door with Tracking numbers for them to leave it at door?

I have never had Verizon tell me no. FedEx yes they will say it's not an option depending on the Rep. But if you have them speak to a FedEx Supervisor you should have better results. As for address change, I cannot comment on that as I have never needed to do that. If you need to speak to a Verizon Supervisor go ahead and explain that FedEd stated only Verizon can request for Pickup Friday at your local center. Warning: If you need this held for pickup near your resort if that center is different from the one for your address, I have been told this could cause a delay and might not be available on Friday as it has to go to a different location. Again all this information Varys by Rep. So it's very hard to know what is the truth. Good Luck though

Just tried Verizon. They said they have no way of contacting Fedex and that I would be the only one who could accomplish this. Any additional advice? I could keep trying Verizon reps and see if one of them can figure out how to get Fedex to open up the hold.

That means somebody on the premises must sign for the package.

Yes, you can leave a signature form on the door to have them leave it, but IMHO I'd be wary of folks looking to swipe deliveries.

I just had a couple cases delivered from the Apple Store today from FedEx, and they were indirectly signed for by the leasing office staff (which is where all of my complex’s packages go). I should be good to go for my X delivery Friday if I am not home in time, correct?

edit: Friday, not tomorrow

Absolutely. As long as there is somebody at the delivery destination premises to sign for the package (doesn't have to be the recipient), you are good.

For "direct" signature verification, the recipient has to show an i.d. that matches what is shown on the package itself.

Yes. Anyone can sign for the package. It just at least has to be signed by somebody unless you leave the signature waiver form.

regarding the point about setting up as new phone, i always do it that. I never bring in the backup from my old device, corrupted files, along with all cache that stays on your phone, just better to start fresh

anyone trading in their phone at gamestop or have in the past? today is the first time i heard they take trade ins, and for my iphone 6 they are giving $119 in cash without charger, higher than gazelle

I have. Usually pretty straight forward, especially now that they have this computerized method to test the OS and overall diagnosis of electronic devices

might be worth checking what verizon offers... they likely match or exceed that $119 offer

Anyone with an original date of 11/10 or later who has been at least charged could you post your color and GB size and any other info you'd like to add such as order time and confirmation email time. Also if your date changed/how order status looked before/after. Just so we can get a good read of the people being bumped up.

thanks, do you have to go through the motions online and bring in your "saved trade summary" or can i just go there with the phone, and do they give you cash or a check?

verizon was 126 but only as a gift card or bill credit, but i guess its the same as cash since you have to pay ur bill anyway, rather have the cash up front though

anyone come across a good solid wireless charger for this thing?

I got two Belkin ones. I wanted ones that Apple was selling as I feel they would be safest. I also needed ones that didn't have a bright light so it wouldn't bother me in the dark. Also a Spigen one that sits elevated for the desk.

Yes, remove the SIM. When you first turn on the phone it asks if you are using the iPhone on the number for which you bought it. You need to continue with the entire setup process and say yes to everything up to and including the Terms and Conditions to unlock the device. The second you get there you need to turn off your device and swap in your SIM to prevent disconnecting someone else’s phone.

Is that accepting the Terms & Conditions for iOS? Doesn't that activate the phone and register service with Verizon afterwards?
