No Apple can not upgrade lines for Verizon Business accounts. Unless they are selling unlocked phones (which Apple is currently not for the X) the only way you can buy a phone directly from Apple as a Verizon Business customer is to walk into the store, luck out if they have one, and pay full price. You can't pre-order/order, nor reserve a phone for in store pickup online. You will get the following message: "We're sorry. The Verizon account you have is a business account. Please contact your company's telecom manager or Verizon account manager to complete your iPhone purchase." Once phones are being sold unlocked (i.e. iPhone 8, you can order online and pay full retail). I do wish I could order directly with Apple though.


As far as my VZW order status, I preordered a 64GB space gray at 4:18aET on 10/27. At the time I was quoted a 11/22 deliver by date. I received an upgraded shipping notice on 11/7 and the phone arrived 11/8. Unfortunately I decided it was silly not to pay the extra $150 for the 256GB, shipped the 64GB back and placed a new order on 11/8. My new ship by date is 12/13. I'm putting it out of mind for now, but keeping my fingers crossed it gets accelerated to sometime before the end of the month. I'm still happy with my 7, so not a huge deal. Also, it is a pain to track VZW shipments online, the User Name on my order won't pull up the tracking info. I ran into this was past preorders but forget the exact way to input the user name.

Yes. It needs to be plugged in a certain way. I have to wiggle the cable to get it to charge and once it’s charging i need to let it sit still. Def the port and not a cable issue. Any suggestions? I do know,when I insert a cable it’s not as snug as it used to be.

I’ve had this issue multiple times. I work in construction so my phone constantly gets dirt and dust in the charge port. The quick solution to this is to power down your phone and take a paper clip or staple. Bend it so you can stick it in the charge port. Turn your phone upside down so you can see into the charge port. There should be quite a bit of dirt/dust packed into the corners. Gently poke/scrape at it with the paper clip/staple and try to lure it out.

Another method is to take a QTip that is plastic in the middle. Cut it in half and dab some rubbing alcohol on the plastic tip you just cut. Slowly scrap out the dirt/dust from the port. The rubbing alcohol will help loosen it up.

This has worked for me multiple times! Just please remember to power down your phone before you do this :)

My 10/27 order for a Silver 256GB iPhone X with a ship by 12/1 date just changed to "Shipped" and will be here Monday, so excited! The rest of the December folks should be getting updated soon, so interesting how conservative they were on estimated shipments this year.

No movement on my 11/22 date for 2x 64gb phones. :(

Edit: About 45 mins after posting that, I got a text message saying my order is being prepared/processing. :D

Well, that did the trick. It works a lot better! This will buy me some time now while I wait. Thanks for the tip!!

Now hopefully us folks in the 12/6 range, will get shipping notices as well...soon enough. When these do ship, what kind of shipping is it? 2 day? Overnight?

Just curious, and I know it varies by store, but what has store availability looked like? Slim at best? Or is it pretty common for them to have them in stock?
 
I ordered 3 iphone space greys 64gb, on Monday, October 30th for ship date December 1st. Any movement?
 
I also canceled my Verizon order and picked up from Apple Store (Space Gray 256gb), couldn’t do the wait anymore. Only problem, I had to pay taxes which I didn’t have to when I preordered through Verizon. Oh well, still worth it.
 
My order went from pending to processing and I'm showing a pending charge on my credit card! I'm hoping that means I'll get it early next week! I ordered a 256 silver on 10/27 at 7:15 am PT. I looked on the verizon website and the original 12/1 shipping date disappeared.

That is great news looks like your order should ship tomorrow or morning.

I ordered a 256 silver on 10/30 with a 12/1 ship date, still no movement.

If there was an issue with order they’d email right? Mine is still “processing” when i check order status and shows 12/1 ship date. A reddit user who ordered on the 7th just had theirs ship and it had a date of 12/13. Makes me hope nothing is wrong with my order.
