A Mac Pro. Having used a PowerMac G5, and noticed that, even with all the years on its back (like... 10 years) they´re still, powerful machines, the only issue for me to not keeping it as my main computer, its because of the outdated software :(. its a shame apple just decided to drop the support on the G5.

But well, thats why i want a Mac pro. i just found some on ebay for 400~, maybe i would pick up one soon.

a g5 is not powerful what so ever

Some kinda oscilloscope :) There are some nice enough USB kits out there but it'd be even nicer to have a legit one.

Want a 4k TV. I would feel like a idiot in 2 years when they are a quarter of the price.

me too but my 3 year old Samsung LED is still super nice. I am waiting for them to come out with things that actually support the format. It's like having a 3d tv and realizing you spent an extra thousand just to watch Avatar in 3d haha.

My Junior year of high school I spent over $2k for a 44 inch DLP LP tv. Junior year of college I spent 800 on a 32inch LCD Samsung. 3 years later I spent $1,000 on a 47 inch Samsung LED.

The prices will come down big time. It's really how long are you willing to wait and is there anything really able to support what you want. I don't really feel blu ray is half as popular as it could be and movies are still too expensive. Disney still wants 35 bucks for a movie they released like 10x !!!! Or they do that BS scam where they give you a dvd as well...... just make it 10-15 bucks and give me the blu ray that is all I want !!

Yeah they haven't even rolled out the new hdmi yet. I will be impatiently waiting. Ps4 Will supposedly stream 4k. So there will be content soon. So far Sony is worse then Disney. 4k digital rentals are $10 which is Roberry

they are basically asking us or begging us to steal media now. It's like thanks for buying Blu ray for 6-7 years now give us 40 bucks for each batman and star wars movie again in 4k. Even tho you have it on VHS, DVD, Blu Ray and digital copy.

Hope Apple comes with movie Match soon. Movie studios are crazy and their hustling days are over. Once physical media dies they are screwed. iTunes HD isn't as good as a blu ray but I am not upgrading to 4k blu rays and spending 1k on movies again. They are screwing people who actually buy media because others steal it. They are just going to make more people steal as it's only getting easier and faster to do so.

$30 bucks for SPiderman triology on iTunes or $26 for the blu rays with Flixster digital copies on Amazon.....

Digital shouldn't cost more than physical especially when you get both and it's still cheaper than itunes.

You underestimate the value of instant gratification in the mind of the average consumer. Especially with things like movies, with which we have come to take for granted the instantaneous nature of on-demand film services.

But yes, the only reason I buy movies so regularly is because with the DVD copy and digital copy (or sometimes two- I got both Vudu and iTunes with Game of Thrones ssns. 1 and 2, for example) I feel like I am getting a deal, and the fact that I can lend out the DVD without too much worry enables me to share my love of film/films with friends.
