I want an SSD for my Macbook Pro 13" Early 2011, but the price is too much for me, since I'm just a 16 year highschool student .
I actually have enough money to upgrade my Macbook now from 4GB to 8GB RAM, since RAM is surprisingly so cheap now (obviously not the outrageous $300 Apple RAM, the $40 Amazon RAM), should I buy that first?

I have the same thing, just i7 2.7GHz.
I bought it, and after 1 week I bought 8GB. Now I need 16GB ram. That would be goooooood. Just because it was too slow when there was a lot of multi-tasking.

...that said, I may shortly be acquiring either a 5 or a 7 series. Few years old of course. We shall see.
Totally worth it. I debated over upgrading or repairing my old 17 incher, and decided to go for a unibody. I love it. Very, very solid.

I currently have a few years old white MacBook, so it'd be a massive upgrade for me I'm sure
