...With a 256GB SSD, minimum. Finding it hard to justify the purchase with the model more than likely due for a refresh.

First Gen iPhone. Loved them from the moment they were released and even now, still do.

Lexus SC300. Even though they're getting on a little, especially the earlier builds, they still look just as beautiful as ever. Absolutely love these cars. :D Finding one in Australia with a 2JZ-GE engine is difficult though.

I'd say all of this could be had for under the $8k mark, but that's still no small amount.

I loved my first gen iPhone. It was my favorite one too. I sold it when I upgraded to the 3GS, but now I wish I kept it. :(

I see SC300s and SC400s around Los Angeles all the time. I guess the nice weather out here has allowed them to stay in pretty good shape. My mother owned an dark green SC400 back in the 90s when I was a teenager....I loved driving it, it was an awesome car.

My reasonable purchase, for when I get a full-time job next year hopefully. (It's the Golf GTD, a diesel GTi)

Shame about your car. What do you have now?

I was reading about the DSG being a bit slow on takeoff, like if you needed to jump into a small gap in traffic. I guess a test drive would answer that one. Otherwise, I'll be just as happy in a manual :)

One of those. Or both.

If it doesn't, you can get a 256 GB SSD for the Air through OWC, though they're currently like 400 dollars.

I moved to "ergoshifters" a while ago and it is safe to say I'll never go back. What makes you want downtube shifters so bad? Most bikes now don't have a downtube shifter option and for good reason. It is obsolete.

I stated my reasons in my reply. ;)

You could pay and get a higher-end Shimano (Ultegra, DA) or Campagnolo Athena or something, and what you'd get are smoother shifts. That's where your money is going towards. Sure, you also get better materials and slightly lighter weight, but for most people, the real benefit is in the smooth and response, which of course is complicated by how the cables need to be routed. The tech is faster, but it's hampered somewhat by the mechanics of the setup. Well, an indexed DT shifter may give you shifting that's fast (relative to other Tiagras), and be relatively more reliable due to the simplicity of it.

But I'd probably get the Campy Veloce because that's what I really want. Never really used Campagnolo except when trying on a bike. ;) I'm just played with the idea of getting DT shifters because it's something I think I'd like.

I want the Hawaiian Pizza that I ordered :(

I ordered it online for pickup, get there and the store is closed (even though it was to be open for another 4 hours). I call the store, no answer, and I call the customer service line to cancel the order, and no answer.

Blah I hope I don't get charged :/

Always an option, but i've had some fitment problems with the OWC Mercury Pro Aura SSDs in MacBook Airs, notably the SSD was slightly too long, causing the back edge to press against the battery (and causing some flexing of the SSD's circuit board). Admittedly this may not be an issue in the 13-inch model, but I'd still prefer to get the Apple / Toshiba SSD first and see how that works out.

Eesh. Haven't used it myself. That doesn't sound too good.

how are these different then the regular S4i's?

As far as I can see from the Klipsch website, the only difference between "Image S4i" and "Reference S4i" is that Reference is a newer model (2011 vs 2009) and they look a bit different too. The specs (frequency, sensitivity, noise-isolation, etc) are identical between the two. There's a discussion about the topic in this thread.

Correct. Technically speaking, they're identical. I have read that the wires are a little sturdier on the reference s4 though.

Their website only mentions frequencies and such.

If they use the word "reference" in their description, it probably refers to its sound, not its specs. It may provide a "flatter" overall sound than the regular S4is, because the S4i may have been tuned to give a more punchy sound.

I've owned two pairs of S4i in the past, but they both broke and it has been awhile.
