If Apple comes with a low light solution that produces pics as good as many Android phones, I will actually upgrade for that alone. I’ll even get past the block camera. Right now, their software solution isn’t doing it. Way too hit or miss with more misses than hits.

Some people have lives and memories they want to capture beyond the bright of day. I shouldn’t have to download a bazillion camera apps to get a photo that other devices can produce without an additional app, especially at $1200.

Night Sight as night Sight, but a new feature just appeared on my phone. It's 4k 60 fps AND Super Steady Cam. Really amazing.

its hilarious that you posted a clear pic of a wine glass from your phone and then posted a blurry pixelated pic of your cat and actually thought that looked just as clear. do your cat a favor and never post those pics online, even your cat would be ashamed of how crappy those look.

The clear pic was from lunch, no night sight needed during daylight. the clear picture of the glass really shows what the iPhone can do.

The cat pic was from the review of the app, it’s in the link I posted above, you know the one that talks about the app. guess you never clicked the link, no idea what your actually using. No idea why thought that was mine . You know, because i mentioned how the app wouldn’t work in sunlight.

Only reason I included it was because it’s in complete contrast to whatever you posted earlier making inaccurate claims.

btw stealing some compressed image from a website to try to show how "bad" pixel's night sight looks is funny. just grasping at straws all over the place. here is a real image from a real phone for you. so no, at this point in time, apple cannot compete. lets see what they come out with at the keynote.

The night sight pic that seemed to have triggered you was posted in this thread . I kept posting that I did not have a pixel.
Look up.

Edit: turns out you posted that pic. post number 14.

Does that also apply to you?
Could you explain how a picture you posted can be considered a straw man argument?

You never answered my question, which flip phone did you have in 2001 with a camera. Im assuming your not just making things up.

WAIT you dont even own the app?? LMAO. you're too cheap to even spend 3 bucks on an app you're blindly defending? how can you be on here telling people they can get "night sight" and yet havent even used it? holy **** that is hilarious and quite pathetic

too broke after buying an overpriced iphone? do i need to send you 3 bucks?

and yes my post is to show the drastic difference between the photos, you chose it to try to defend "blurriness". dont even reply if you're too cheap to buy the product you're defending. that's just sad. guess my comment about you being an internet expert was correct huh?

How could you not even realize the picture I posted was yours?

Sure it was rather odd you didn’t realize the cat pic was from the link I had posted earlier. The link that was a review of the app Neuralcam.

But No the picture you posted in post 14

Because this is what you said about the pic you originally posted in post 14.

It was your pic.
Can you explain why a picture you posted is “grasping at straws”.

I posted those images to show the difference in brightness in the photos. You posted the image to try to show how bad the quality is. No crap the quality is bad. It's a compressed image.

You don't even have any pics of your own to post. What an internet expert. Don't tell people they can have night sight on the iphone if you are too cheap to even try it out. Again, extremely pathetic lol. Anyways we've derailed this post enough. Have fun stealing blurry photos of cats because it's too hard for you to admit that apple sucks at low light photos.

Hope I am not disturbing, bet let's remember last year when the iPhone max, with its smart hdr, hype was all over the pixel 3 launch day. And also the iPhoneX, not the XS
So let's remember, music please!

Yes you posted the picture.

You claimed I had “stolen it” from “a website”.
But it was your picture.
It’s not like anyone else is using your account.

Yup you got it. I’m saving my pennies for the new iPhone Max next month.

Any iPhone user that wants the same software based night sight feature as the pixel or the galaxy can download the app, and can get it today. There is also a review that I posted a link to above.

The app is actually number 6 in photos and video section of the App Store, so perhaps user error with your pics.

Don’t know why that upsets you so much.

My posts are about night sight on the iPhone in 2019.... that’s very much the subject of this thread.

Funny thing about this was all the apple fan boys were convinced it was photoshopped or heavily edited.

And compared with x not xs
Anyway, hoping not to bother you, but are you hitting that repeat button when the pixel video ends?:D

Delete. This thread has devolved so much, it's useless.

It’s hardly a work of art. It’s all out of focus and a blurry mess!

Look up “sarcasm”, when you can...

Let me repeat myself, you can just download the pixel camera onto the note and use it if you like it better. I know it's hard for iPhone users to grasp the concept of being able to use whatever app you want.

No, actually, you can “just download” the pixel camera onto your Note.
- you need to find the right build for your model
- you need to know how to install it.
- you need to be okay with some features not working
- you need to be okay with frequent crashes or freezes.

Yes, those are difficult concepts for iPhone users to grasp. In fact, we don’t actually care for that at all.

That’s not totally accurate. In some cases, yes it doesn’t work the best, but for devices like the OnePlus, it works really well.

If I upgrade, it will be to the smaller one, and only if it has improved low light photography

You just confirmed my point. You can’t “just download it”. It doesn’t work that well on the OnePlus either (at least the OnePlus 6T).

Also, putting the final summary on the idiotic pissing contest about NeuralCam earlier - I’ve just taken several side-by-side snapshots at night.

- exposure time (ie ‘hold still’) is between 2-3 seconds. Reasonable.
- processing time is roughly 8-10 seconds.
- this is on an iPhone 8

Hopefully in a few weeks we will see this feature come out....to try and get away from the bickering of this thread
