Always makes me laugh when people on here say this about him and his channel. It is literally no different than this very site lol. He is basically macrumors but in video form.
AGreed, and I can say the same thing about iJustine who seems more interested in being a model than reporting unbiased views on the apple products she ‘models’. Everythingapplepro does indeed have sources available to him. I would challenge anyone to show proof otherwise.

I trust a guy who ISN'T getting products from apple to tell me like it is from his perspective than from somebody who's kissing apple's "apple" just cause they're gettin perks and are afraid to be black listed

Lew is a real one

I actually like Lew but he's been throwing a huge fit talking bad about Apple products in his recent videos. Now i get Apple is farrr from perfect but it's the reason that he's doing it is what bugs me. He's doing it because Apple isn't sending him free products to review. He made a video about it about a month ago and ever since he's been making taking jabs at them.

I personally don't trust any reviewer because it's all about payola. They're just ads for tech companies most of the time. I watch the videos to see what the products looks like and it gives me a general idea of what to expect.

I can’t believe some of you guys are picking on Linus.... though he’s anti Apple.m, he’s always been fair about it. What he always have to say usually have a lot of merit

Some of you guys just can’t stand to have your shiny new iPhone or other Apple device bad mouthed and thrown under the bus for whatever flaws said YouTube has to say about it

Frankly I can’t stand iJustine and the rest of her apple loving crony’s.... they have absolutely nothing negative to say about Apple devices.... it’s very dishonest to me

Agreed. A lot of people here are very sensitive about their Apple devices to the point where they will disregard a channel that says anything bad.

There’s is also a huge hate around here for Zacks JerryRigEverything due to the little jokes he makes about Apple, yet he makes jokes about all tech brands.

I also am not a big iJustine fan, she’s a little too much for me, not enough technical, a lot of high level, rinse and repeat stuff.

If you read through the thread a lot of comments refer to his incredibly annoying presentation style rather than him being anti Apple.

A lot of tech youtubers (and youtubers in general) are very narcissistic--even if they come across like they aren't--they are. They get angry that a company like Apple will not bend over backwards for them and make an iPhone in the specs they want and assume others want. So they throw jabs and cry on camera about it. Meanwhile, Apple is raking in the cash.

Apple is the Rolex of the phone world. Their designs are very similar to each other as the years pass by and every year there aren't unnecessary massive risks. This tactic keeps them at the top every time. All other android phones look drastically different from year to year, which causes even more fragmentation and low resale value.

Which is kind of funny right now because of the rumored cheaper iPhone 12 will undercutting a lot of these price inflations that Android OEMs have followed Apple with.

Meh, I never understood the appeal. Even if I was an Android user, he is still a turn off. Prosser is already the same for me. Good for him that he gets Apple info and sometimes gets it right.

Now Dave Lee and Lisa Gade are excellent. Cross platform reviews, non bias with very little bs, drama, or look-at-me crap. Marques is decent too, he does make quality videos and when he talks about tech I am interested in, I watch. Dave and Lisa touch upon aspects that are helpful to me, such as speaker quality across Apple’s MacBook line, the best art tablet, software etc.

I generally avoid YT for any kind of opinions or reviews unless they are the above tech folks.

I think a lot of tech YouTubers are clowns so I don't watch them. When they pull stuff like this, it only confirms what I already thought. There's definitely some decent ones out there, but even then I don't watch.

I watch lots of different youtubers but my top 3 are.

The Tech Chap
Mrwhosetheboss
MKBHD

I find them interesting to listen to and watch.

Flossy Carter was another person I used to watch but I’ve not watched much of his content lately.

I don’t even bother with these “reviewers”. I go straight to the big guys first such as CNET, Engadget, and The Verge. Cnet has really stepped up their game with the reviews. The iPhone SE review was filmed in the guys backyard for goodness sake and it’s one of the best. Their staff is humble and relatable. I really enjoy watching the reviews from the Australian girl. Dieter form the Verge is enjoyable to watch as well. Most of the Youtubers come off as ignorant and elitist. Just because something isn’t the latest and greatest they go out of their way to degrade it. You don’t see that from the big guys. And don’t get me started on the ridiculous amount of equipment they use to ”produce” their mediocre videos. Does iJustine really need a maxed out Mac Pro and two XDR displays? I find that level of showing off to be extremely unprofessional and childish. Youtuber’s have never appealed to me and they never will.

With regards to Apple, Lou is to YouTube what Gordon Kelly is to Forbes.

But unlike Kelly, I do find Lou’s videos entertaining.

Entertaining v.s. being informative is where ‘Lou’ suffers immensely, and informative (he is Not. That’s his main goal, is to be ‘entertaining’, not educated enough to understand Apple on a productive level. I’m not knocking your choice to watch his videos because they’re ‘entertaining‘, but you’re the ideal candidate that he wants viewers like yourself.

Oh I know very well there’s nothing informative in his videos. I just enjoy the videos that he has which spotlight quirky or unknown products. The “tiniest cellphone” video comes to mind...

Besides those specific videos, I really don’t watch any of his other content, especially not his “reviews”.
