Retype them all back into an email :D

Seriously, there probably isn't a way because apps can't access that and iTunes won't let you mount it as a disk. You might be able to find a program out there that will let you mount an iPhone as a disk. That's probably the only way. I wouldn't hold out much hope for it if I were you.

Sorry for reviving a several month old thread, but does anyone a way to find out how many messages are on your phone without jailbreaking?

Do you mean how many texts you've sent/received? You can use the AT&T app to check total texts used.
 
Man I thought I had no life with 1500 per month, and I yell at my teenager for 4,000 per month, where do you find the time to send and receive 75,000 to 100,000 text messages per month??? Holly mother of Crow...

That is roughly 3000 per day? it is sitting on the border of insane, not sure anyone can text 3,000 per day?

Is this the total number of txts on your phone since the day you bought it?

What's the deal guys
 
Goddamn thats a bunch of texts.

I usually just delete mine every week. How important can a text message convo be?
 
I probably send anywhere between 1000-2000 texts in any given month, but I clear them off my phone every evening.
 
In over a year I might have had a few hundred total (sent AND received). Some of you people are crazy. I guess I'm too busy doing other things rather than typing about wanting to do other things. ;)
 
Are you guys trying to take people to court? Are ya'll trying to blackmail someone? Are you the obsessive boyfriend/girlfriend that has to keep tabs on the first "I love you" and "happy 1 month" text messages? I mean wtf is so important that you need the space to keep seventy-five thousand text messages stored on your iPhone??
 
Why have a PHONE if your going to just text 3,000 times a day? Thats crazy! What job, if there is a job involved allows you the time to text all day?

Yeah i dont know man. I dont have 125,000 texts in the 9 or 10 years ive had a cell phone. Never had that problem.
 
I usually send/receive an average of 6,000 SMS a month, and routinely clear my call history and SMS conversations... no need to save anything for me, and if it's significant enough to save, well there's copy/paste for that.
 
I saved a bunch of texts by taking screen shots of them and saving them as images on my computer.

I'm not sure how many texts I have on this iPhone, but if I calculated how many I had on all of my iPhone replacements I'd guess over 50,000 easily.

14K per month=467 per day=19.5 per hour (24 hours a day, 7 days a week)

Who do you text that much, and doesn't that eat up a significant amount of your time?
 
according to at&t's website about 2k a month. I don't ever save them though mine are stupid mindless conversations....some very revealing also
