512gb, but I was really tempted to get 1TB as Prores and RAW pics eat up a ton of storage. I use my 2TB iPad Pro for videos/anime on the go. Also with USB 3.0, I can transfer things really fast in/out of my iPhone now.

Use my 512GB 14 max to make backups of my camera SD cards, which gets synced to iCloud too, when out in the field shooting, using the lightning/SD dongle. Goes quite fast actually and gets offloaded when SD card has been put on proper backups. This workflow works for me and demands some storage on the phone obviously on top everything else you want to have on there to have some margin, ymmv. Probably going to need 1TB pretty soon…

So I was pretty much forced to get the 512GB model on a preorder unless I want to wait 2 months..

I can see a few uses especially with USB-C port but what do you guys use the storage for typically? I'm not worry about the extra money. Just curious

Thanks!
4K HDR videos. B rolls. Main shoot, up to ProRes. 1TB gets filled up in a day.

Had 512GB, now upgraded to 1TB for the 15 Pro. Would have bought 2TB if they had it!

Have a very large iTunes library (several hundred gigabytes) and I prefer to keep every app and picture/video on my phone - I don't pay for iCloud storage.

So far, folks with that storage don't use iCloud Photos or optimize photos appear to be the target market.

I would be nice to not wait for videos to not buffer.. to me that may be worth it. I'm on the fence.

Some people are fortunate enough to live in an area where internet is fast and reliable. I am not one of those people. I would rather have files and media I need stored locally than risk not having access to them because I live in a rural/isolated area. I'm only sorry they don't offer 2TB

I’ve scanned almost all of my family’s old photos and added them to Photos to help group people in the People album. But that storage is rather insignificant to 4K video. I try to take the highest video quality that’s reasonable for the time since storage gets cheaper over time.

I appreciate your asking the question rather than asserting that people with a 1 TB iPhone are somehow immoral. 🤪

'It seemed like a good idea at 1am'... But if the camera is 24/48MP, I figure the files will be big and storage will fill up faster than I'm used to with a 12MP camera, and I like to keep all my photos on my phone + iCloud, plus I plan to keep the new phone for a long time. I'm going from 128 to 512 (the 128 has about 65GB photos dating back to 2016).

I play a TON of mobile games, so this year I'm going from 256 to 512. Good games are getting larger size-wise, and with the other games coming over like Assassin's Creed Mirage, Resident Evil 4/Village, I'm going to need the breathing room. I really need to PLAY the big games in my backlog too, bad habit :p

Large personal music library, much of it old recordings ripped from CD, and not available streaming. I also have the iPad mini 256G; storage is cramped on the mini even without loading all my music. Photos get shared to OneDrive so I can share on my Windows devices.

My iPhone storage is used for Pictures, movies, music. I am trying my best not to rely on iCloud especially if there is no internet on any situation. I do not like use public wifi as it is not safe or secure.

I use a 256gb iphone 11 Pro now and im hitting the 60% used mark. Typically most of the storage is photos and videos. I plan on trading my 11 Pro in for the 15 Pro through AT&T, so its another 3 years and I want to make sure I dont run out of space with 4k video and the larger photo sizes.
Exactly the same reasons I went to the 512.
