I ordered the iPad wifi + 3G the first day of pre order. I was wondering if any one has seen their iPad 3G order shipped yet. I'm assuming since it will be available in stores Friday at 5:30 that it will be shipped out before Friday and arrive on Friday or maybe even before (don't know if it will be as strict as wifi ipad since that's already out there's really no secretes)

This is the first thread regarding the shipping of 3G units, so no, I don't think anyone's has shipped yet.
I assume you're being sarcastic.
Based on the wifi launch, people will probably start to see tracking numbers tomorrow through Wednesday.
I was going to say it's thread 101.... take what happened last time, and move it one day earlier, since they are supposed to arrive Friday instead of Saturday. And they won't actually arrive before Friday NO MATTER WHAT. 
FedEX and UPS handle 'deliver on this date' shipments pretty well now. For example, I get movies and books from Amazon where they are shipped on a 'never deliver before this date' basis (like Avatar, last Thursday) all the time.
But, I guess we do need one master '3G Shipment/Arrival Thread'....
And, in case you're wondering, my 3G order was entered at 5:32 AM PT on 3/12, and the only thing that has ever changed is the shipping status to Priority back when they all did.
I would hope mine would be one of the first to show some action! (Not that it really matters, just saying...)

Either Monday or Tuesday we will all see shipments on the iPad. Maybe on Monday it would be ready to ship and Tuesday would be the shipping date and be here by Friday for all of us.

If they are shipping FedEx this time (and not using crappy FE Ground (what does 'Priority' really mean? Internal handing only? 'Real' FedEx?), it may be they aren't shipped until Wednesday, using 2-day shipping. Who knows.
I thought we had heard news/rumor that Apple was using FedEx because of the issues with UPS last time. Confirm/deny? And what about FE Ground vs. 'real' FedEx? (I hate FedEx Ground. Whoever they were (can't remember, someone bad like DHL...) before FedEx sucked them up, they do suck.)
Mine still shows that it will ship in late April, but I must admit I have about had it up to you know where waiting. I am so sick of waiting for it I almost don't want it now. But I know I will take it when it gets here and it better be here on Friday or I may go postal.
right now it is 5:34am tomorrow (Monday) in China . . . am really hoping in a few short hours we will start seeing the 'prepared for shipment' on the order status

What happened in this thread that made you doubt the official release date of the 30th? There was a press release from Apple and everything.
They will all be shipped on Monday or Tuesday and a ton of people on here will say that they KNOW that because of this they will get theirs on Wednesday or Thursday, but NO One will get one before Friday April 30, 2010. That's the way it is.

State what city and state your in also so we can tell whos getting the confirmations first as well. It will be a fun and informative way to track our beloved Ipad 3gs. I ordered mine end of last month I should be getting it this friday and I will be posting that confirmation here as well. (minus personally identifiable information be smart folks)

I've seen nothing and I'm a bit surprised. To get it here by Friday from China I would think I would have heard something by now.
I guess they are shipping pallets to US distribution centers and going from there. In that case, shipping on Wed may work.
Also, I wonder if that means I get it Friday during the day before the 5pm launch? Otherwise, ugh, it means Saturday.

It might just be that Apple has requested FedEx (or whoever) to hold back any shipping confirmation until a certain time. There is no reason to assume your iPad hasn't shipped yet or that it won't get there on time. Obviously there is no evidence either way, but I think things will be revealed before Friday either way.
I doubt they have shipped without being paid for yet.
I've had a few re-auths on my card, but all of them keep dropping off. Apple isn't going to send me anything until they have my money secured.

Heh! I had never noticed that before!
I don't know if this will help or not but I got my shipping notification email for my camera kit on Sunday 4/25, it shipped today 4/26 from China, Apple says it will be delivered by 4/27, FedEx says it will be delivered 4/29 and Apple still hasn't taken payment from my checking yet. It's like deja vu all over again.
So, I would think for a package to make it on 4/30 it would need to ship by tomorrow, the latest. Rotsa Ruck!

So, what we've gleaned is if they do not ship tomorrow, we are not getting them Friday. I'm sure everyone would be OK with that...(sarcasm, sarcasm)
