Go on, admit it Taz, you're not entirely convinced that Y is not at least "suspect"? ….. be aware, contradictory statements could damage your credibility!

Sigh. I have stated multiple times that *I* have no issues with Yosemite. Let me be clear so that you do not confuse what that means. I, as in myself, have not had any issues running Yosemite. I can see where you might confuse the context of *with* and *running*. I have never stated that Yosemite does not have any issues.

EDIT: Honestly I am amazed that I have not had any issues so far given that this is a .2 release. I never had this happen in anyother OS X release I had used previous especially a release as new as Yosemite is. In other words, I remember what it was like running .2 releases of Mavericks, Mountain Lion and Lion. None of those ran as solid for me as Yosemite .2 release. Even Snow Leopard .2 release was not as stable as Yosemite has been for me. And I have been using OS X since 10.2 days.

Agree with Taz above. I to since Yosemite came out have had not one glitch/issue at all. I don't play around adding programs that are not coded properly, nor have older programs/apps either. I did a clean install, played with the OS first than added my apple programs/apps one by one. No problems. Also, I don't install from the Time Machine. I have a USB for my pictures and "Pages". Unknown if those having some issues have done a clean install than used their Time Machine or other back up medium, which may have something on them that messes things up.

Your method for installing pretty closely echos how I install major OS X releases. I have also wondered if the issues some people have been having are caused by restoring from a TIme Machine backup. I have seen where there are some issues being caused by corrupted data or permissions issues.

It's a whole lot less suspect than Mavericks, which never ran right for me, even in its final releases. Yosemite is a breath of fresh air for my Macs, other than the cartoon icons, which I could live without.

This is the fourth operating system I've used on this machine (Lion to current) and whilst I'll agree Yosemite is a bit buggier than the others (for myself at least) it's no where near awful, .2 fixed a lot of issues I had and it's working nicely.

Regarding the UI, you either like it or you don't - I initially found the UI off-putting but after a couple of hours use I began to appreciate it and actually prefer it now, it's a lot 'cleaner' to my eyes.

I'm willing to forgive Yosemite for it's bugs given how ambitious an update it is, I'll be very interested to see the focus for 10.11. General performance refinements would be fine with me.
