I'm tired of so many people hating on apple. I'm talking about my friends on general, so I don't know if you guys can relate. They're all the type of people who want control over everything and that's one of the reasons why they dislike apple or always complain to me about it since I'm the one guy in the group who really loves apple. I still find it funny how they own iPods or iPhones though. I gave one of them my 4th gen iPod touch when I got my iPhone 4s and he complains so much about it even though he said thanks for it. And then the other guys jumped on the iPhone bandwagon but now he talks about how he can't wait to move over to android. Sometimes I think they complain just to get on my nerves but I really hope they all buy their windows stuff and android phones so they will shut up!

Sorry for that rant, I needed to get it out of my system.

Cool story. I can't wait to get rid of the damn Mac so I can buy a Dell or HP. And that iPod? I miss my Creative Zen.

ummm ok. It's a company and I really have no love for any company that sells me products. Maybe it's all those smug commercials apple have been putting out over the years. I have a macbook and if I ever came across someone like that guy in the commercial I would also hate him and apple products.

A good rebuttal? "What you want me to buy a piece of HP?"

Also, "Why would I use my iPod, when this teeny MP3 player with fingernail buttons is MUCH better, and 512MB of storage definitely beats 64GB!"

Lol alright I may of exaggerated a bit but I really do enjoy my apple products. However other companies also make great stuff and I think that they should be less bias.

Just put up with it. I take my MacBook into class and my geeky friends have their WinDOH's or their Linux PCs, and I'm like "Cool computer bro!". They complain about apple products but I don't care. If they don't like it cool. I do. Simple as that.

People hate on Apple because the stereotypical Apple fanboy that drives a Prius, drinks Starbucks, and needs a shave. Unfortunately, that's how Apple buyers are seen by many of the general public.

They make great products, and I'm sure that secret jealously plays a part. It's just the same as people that say "I hate that music because it's mainstream", because apparently hating what's popular is the cool thing to do.

Oh god, those Get a Mac commercials were terrible. I hope whoever came up with them got fired. One thing I find funny though. The Commercials ended when Windows 7 came out, and a lot of tech blogs gave Windows 7 GREAT reviews, whereas the commercials were made when the failure of Vista was released. Maybe Apple finally decided they had decent competition?

They're just jealous dude. Don't break any friendships over stupid things like this. And I bet the one guy secretly loves his iTouch.

I don't get paid by Apple, so I could really care less on the hate.

On this forum sometimes we chime in on debates, but really why care?

80% of my contact use PCs, but I never find myself in your situation. Likely because they already know I couldn't care less what somebody else chooses to use.

Here is a PERFECT solution for your friends that hate Apple. Since they don't like Apple because of the control they feel it has... why don't they take all the energy they have to hate and talk about Apple and start their own computer company. I just figure that this is what smart people would do. Start their own company with the much better ideas they have... that is how they truly could get even with Apple. That would be some serious revenge... that is if they actually back up what they say with real action.

....or are they just part of the dumb people with no credibility that would rather complain instead of actually doing something about it (like start the perfect computer company). Your friends may just view you as a winner and loosers hate winners and thus the only way for them to be equal with you is to bring you down and make you a looser like them. You are the only person that can decide it you want to fly with eagles or stand around with turkeys.

I think we hit the issue here. You love a company.

I frankly don't love or hate Apple. I criticize some of their stuff, praise some of it and give props to competitors when it's due. You don't owe Apple anything aside from the money you paid for their products, it's ok to not be 100% behind them.

And I bet the one guy secretly loves his iTouch.

What does his Logitech keyboard have to do with this ?

Or you know, next time, just don't buy the Apple solution and buy from the competition. Why does one need to "start a company" when there are other products ?

Frankly, if I bought an Apple product I felt Apple had too much control over, I would still use it for the time it's useful (as expensive as those damn things are) and just switch the next time.

Again, owning Apple products does not mean you need to agree with everything Apple does.

Know what I hate - investing such intense emotions in mechanical devices. Human relationships effected by what phone you use.

Sure, appreciate and enjoy whatever electronic device you like. Who the ***k cares what other people use, or what they think of the devices you use.

Let's get a little ***king perspective here.

I agree with your statement above, exactly how I feel. YES, absolutely use ANY companys products where they serve your needs. The start your own company is just more of a metaphor to point out that there is no need to waste energy complaining about something... just go start your own company or create the product you want... that is if there are not other products available that suit your needs.

Loosers just tend to complain because it is much easier to do than being a winner and figuring out how to find a work around or just go create their own solutions to what they hate. Maybe I am just odd, but when I hate something I like to keep the hate pure and make what I hate dead to me... it does not even get the attention.... I never like to water weeds.
