If you are happy and feel comfortable using MacOS get yourself a mac.
Im using a 13" 2015 Macbook pro at home and a 13" 2016 (the usb-c one) Macbook pro and a MS Surface PRO at work.
I like them all three but if I would get a new one I would prob get the regular Macbook.

Main reason for it is the formfactor which I think is better.
If the Air had a better screen I'd go for that one.

One thing that IS better on the Mac is patch-management, with all the PC's i've come across there is always a bit of a mess trying to sort out BIOS and drivers.
Even MS has problems delivering patches to their own machines.

I am a PC guy from the start and I do like both systems, but as I said in the begining, if you are happy with MacOS, stick to it.

I'd look at refurb store, or if you want it cheaper, get it from eBay,, its not all bad, and you have better selection of previous models as well.(those that are no longer even on refub store)

Or get MBA from Apple... If browsing is really all your do, you don't need a pro for that. I have 8Gig in my Macbook Pro,but i also run Windows in VM too from time to time.

A MBA would also have no problems doing that
