I just can't get over the shape of the notch on the MacBooks, if it was more rounded like iPhones I wouldn't mind it, but it's kinda boxy and ugly, so I use TopNotch to hide it.

I'm getting the M2 Air when it comes out so I'll find out. The notch doesn't bother me at all on my iPhone so I don't expect it to on my Mac. I don't know how it looks in full screen video so I'll find out.

Had the 14" for several months and it never bothered me. Wanted a bigger screen and got a 16". Again, doesn't bother me. As pointed out by many other owners, in short order you barely notice it's even there and just sort of forget about it.

I don't mind the notch at all. On the Mac it's really not an issue at all, since it is mostly empty space there used by the menu bar. I also seldom have apps that need to expand their menus beyond the notch..

I don't hide it and it has never bothered me. Hasn't bothered me on the phone or MacBook. Honestly, I forget its there. It wasn't until I stumbled upon this thread that I "re-noticed" the notch. -- Still doesn't bother me.

I don't hide it. The notch is a small detail with zero importance; you don't even see it when using your apps in full screen. I honestly don't understand why people pay so much attention to it. You've been used to it with your iPhone, and so will you with the notch on your Mac.

I love the notch. It’s just part of the menu bar and if it give me more usable application screen space the it’s a good thing. You have to remember it’s adding screen area not taking it away.

It's really a non issue that a few tech YouTubers got some views by trying to make it a controversy. I don't know it it's true for all apps, but all the ones I use make the notch completely disappear when you are in full screen mode. It turns the notch into a perfectly black bezel all the way across the top of the screen so it's not visible if you're watching video.

I'm so used to the bigger bezels on my older MBP or iMac, it's really never crossed my mind. Though I'm sure now that I read this I'll be looking at it for a few days

I genuinely don't notice it anymore and if I'm on a space with a dark desktop wallpaper, I can't even see it.
