Proved my last point perfectly saying FaceTime is bloat ware core function of the Apple ecosystem. Maybe in iOS 10 you can remove these apps.
No it's a core app for iPhone user who has friends who use iPhone. Otherwise it's useless bloatware.

As you've said in another thread, bloatware is anything I don't use and the first thing I've done on iPad and iPhone SE is create a folder called Apple where all this stuff gets put and never seen again. I can't see any real differences between this and what Samsung bundles with their phones.

Not trying to be argumentative, but if some of you hate Apple so much, why are you here? IMHO there is nothing wrong at all with having an opposing view and trying to have an intelligent discussion of the issues, but it seems that many here just want to hate and bash.

This site has the most negativity of any site I visit, and that includes some for people with terminal diseases!

I live in Singapore. I still do not get the updates on Tab S2 and S5 from my carrier. =(( How long does updates reach phones? 4-5 months? iPhones updates are available one week after official release!
Everyone knows they have to wait for updates with samsung devices but it eventually comes. Remember you can do much more on your samsung android devices than any iphone. Iphones may get updates but its missing half of the functionality that TouchWiz and android incorporates. If your phone or tablet is smooth and functioning, you won't notice much with a update.

People with these obsessions with updates act like they are missing out on something but truly you are not unless you have a iphone....

Ahh, don't let the negativity get to you. It's not all like that.

I actually find it funny as a long time Android user who is new to Apple. I love my SE and iPad but they aren't perfect. But they are also useful and good to use. There seems to be a polarisation on here though that says either "We've reached nirvana, stop all other development" or "You lot are deluded and need to be rescued from yourselves"

You regularly visit sites for people with terminal diseases?

I don't hate Apple. I have more Apple devices than anything else (iPhone SE, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4, retina MacBook Pro, Airport Express, Apple TV, and iPod touch 4th gen vs. Galaxy S7 Edge, Moto X Pure Edition, Moto X 2013, Moto 360, and Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4) but I'm still going to point out when someone says something incorrectly bad about Android. I do it for iOS sometimes too, but just don't get the chance as often.

The definition of bloat ware has been distorted over time to mean anything I don't use from useless programs designed to extract money from my wallet or increase my phone bill.

Oh the (unsurprising) irony:
Threads like this are unique to Apple forums.

Apple Devotees are emotionally attached to their phones and are usually comprised of insecure users. Notice threads like "Show Off Your Watch" and others reveal how many attach their identity to public acceptance. To be seen with Apple products enhances their self image. What others think of Apple users is important to the faithful.

There will always be positives over the other.

Big things for me on Apple

iMessage
FaceTime
Updates
Notifications
iCloud/syncs
Resale value

All important for me. Notifications wise how they are done on Apple is better but on my edge

Display
Camera
Storage
3rd party apps
Wireless charging

All again are better than the iPhone. I guess it depends on your needs

Both are amazing devices

Updates are rather huge though and getting iOS 10 will be like getting a new phone with what it provides. Same worth my Apple Watch with 3.0 update.

Couldn't cope without my watch now I use it daily. That said my edge is used a lot for media for films etc where I mirror things which is key for me.

no you can't remove them. You can hide them but they are not removed or deleted from the iphone. It does not delete the app or save space. It just hides the app.

It's a shame that the Snapdragon processor is used for the US version across all carriers which is slower, runs warmer, and has less battery life plus it has more bloatware than the Exynos chip.

The only saving grace is that Sansung pay works on the Snapdragon and not on the Exynos from what I read...is that right?

The Snapdragon 820 is fairly competitive with the Exynos. You have to remember, the processor isn't the only thing that's different, the modems and networks that they work on are also different. For example, both Verizon and T-Mobile phones have the exact same Snapdragon 820, but depending on what area you're in, etc, one can get consistently better battery life.

Samsung pay works on Snapdragon phones because Samsung pay has been released in the US and all the official US phones are Snapdragon. Samsung pay relies on a phone to meet certain criteria to work. If you took a US Snapdragon phone over to Europe with a European SIM, I don't think Samsung Pay works.

Game...set...match lol

Threads like this crack me up, to each his own. Still love my Macs but once I left iPhone I never went back and I never left my iPhones stock (jailbreak). Even trying out new ones, just nothing to draw me back. I will say the S7 is the first phone where I've seen my hardcore Apple friends actually leave the iPhone with no complaints or regrets.

And the whole Apple update thing is bs, if you have a current device great... if you don't majority of the time the updates cause more issues and glitches (my experience and friends) and usually features of some sort are left out.... so yeah you got an update, a glitchy gimped update lol, just look at how many issue posts flood this forum upon an update. Never had an issue synching my Android to my Macs and other devices, Apple eco does nothing for me but I can see how others may prefer it.

One advantage I give Apple is iMessage which isn't a big deal for me but it is done well and handles videos etc well

To each his own....

Obsessions with updates? Do you mean you pay S$1,000 for a phone that is outdated after 1 year?
Eventually comes? When the Samsung updates eventually arrives 6 months or 8 months after the original release, it's time to buy a new phone.

No, I have both samsung and iphones. Samsung phones are just good for photo taking. No Samsung Pay for Tab S2 and Note 5 because they are not updated with Marshmallow. Samsung also blatantly mentions the Tab S2 is not compatible. Meanwhile, I can still using Apple Pay with my iPhone 5.

Top 10 reasons for owning an S7/S7Edge over an iPhone:

1) Design - Subjective
2) Camera - I agree
3) Screen - I agree
4) Ram - Huge RAM but slow GPU frames/s processing
5) Android - For getting updates 6 months after released?
6) Micro SD Card - Doesn't speed up the computer
7) IP 68 - I agree
8) Wireless charging - Pretty slow at the moment. No thank you.
9) Quick charging - You can get a faster adapter for iPhone (29W)
10) Samsung Pay - More devices but more troublesome

U guys miss the point and all your points aren't factual or will eventually be "copied" by Apple. But my 10 points WILL NEVER EVER BE adopted by Android or Samsung unless they change their entire company's operations.

1) Android updates will always be slow;
2) Functionality of the Android phones will always be outdated after 2 years;
3) Security of Android will always be compromised by cheap apps;
4) iPhone always maintains its value after a year. Not a Nexus or Samsung which discounts its S5 by 30% after 3 months
5) AppleCare is already MILES ahead of Samsung Care
6) AppleStore makes is easier to change to a new phone. How am i supposed to seek help for bricked Nexus? Fly to London?
7) Show me ONE speed test video online that an Apple Flagship loses to its fellow Samsung phones. Just show ONE. You will never find it because there isn't.
8) Apple makes its own iOS macOS tvOS and they have closed ecosystem. Is Samsung or Xiaomi ever going to make its own ecosystem of applications?
9) Bloatware - i use whatever Homekit, iBooks, iTunes, etc. But do you use ur Tmobile or AT&T apps?
10) Come on. You mean you can differentiate all 31 phone devices and 25 tablets released by Samsung in 2015? Don't kid me.

etc etc etc

Who buys a Nexus?

Damn I'm so mad I sold my S7, I would have uploaded a YouTube video and shut you up right there. My exynos S7 was constantly loading games faster and opening apps faster.

Let me help you immediately:
Snapdragon S7 Edge vs iPhone 6S+
Exynos S7 Edge v iPhone 6S+

I have S7 edge and iPhone 6s plus. I bring my S7 out when on trips to take gorgeous photographs. But unfortunately, it is much slower than iPhone 6s+

I have seen all these. I'm telling you first hand I had the S7 exynos and I did a speedtest side by side with my 6s plus, I was surprised that the S7 opened every game faster. I even told my buddy that I couldn't believe it but it did. Granted my S7 was rooted and running a custom rom but still. It opened angry birds, jet pack joyride, subway surfers all faster. Loaded web pages faster too.

Well you already said ur S7 was rooted and using custom rom.
Samsung makes excellent phones. I would love the camera, dust resistance, water resistance (though proven otherwise in some papers) in iPhone. I believe we will get these three in iPhone 7

But I am sure we can agree they need to buck up on their SamsungCare, Samsung store service and software updates. I don't see why I should be waiting for 4-6 months after Android release for a security patch on bugs especially Samsung cost more than some iPhones these days

Absolutely agree on those points, it's not debatable that Samsung is far worse than apple with updates, return policy, customer service etc.... But when you consider every thing it's really really hard to say which one is ultimately best. On one hand you have the extremely reliability of the iPhone, the ecosystem, the quality apps, the updates, the support and my number one favorite thing on the iPhone, the IOS keyboard. To me the IOS keyboard is not only great, it's actually a joy to use. Like I use it and it makes me happy. But then you got android and in particular the S7, the most versatile smartphone I know to date with the IP68 rating (I never had any water damage but sometimes I cook and my phone gets splashed with water and I remember that I have nothing to worry about), the display is second to none, the fast charging, the wireless charging, the openness of android and the ability to customize your phone however you feel like.... Cameras, speed, design and build are all solid on those phones. It's always a matter of preference but it seems that those who are the most ignorant don't know the strength of the opposition (not saying you but in general).

I had the S7 for 3 months and it's my all time favorite phone but I felt like using an iPhone for a little bit too so now I'm on the 6s plus. I like switching things up, why the heck not?
