And trust me - people on here have spent years supporting Apple and are frustrated with having basic functionality removed from their devices.
If someone suffers from anxiety, your lack of empathy and glibness, trust me, will not help them - or anybody - maybe not you one day. But go ahead - feel happy in adding nothing to a conversation, and keep on going ....

What have you added except angsty self-righteousness and heavy handedness.

No-one's convinced by your puerile rant. Just another blow hard using the internet to make themselves feel superior. You're not, you're just unbalanced and having a go at the nearest target.

Bit sad really. You know nothing about me or my levels of empathy. Trying to characterise me based on one throwaway comment at another user's throwaway comment reveals you to be a bit nasty actually.

Take your BS and unhappiness elsewhere.

I didn’t have an X but the lack of battery percentage on the top bar was something I didn’t like about that phone. I figured on the Max with the extra screen real estate it would be back as an option. If they can’t fit it in next to the icon I would rather have no battery icon and just a percentage. I never try to judge my battery off of a tiny little icon anyways.

Yes it’s nonsense. I already sent Apple a message on their feedback page about it. I’m confident it will return in iOS 13. We just have to deal with it for a year.

Easiest way to see battery percentage is to add it up to the top of your notifications page that you swipe right to access from the main page.

Ya I have had that, but that’s only worth it if you don’t have any apps open. Which is hardly ever.

Newtons Apple is spot on - for him/her it is 'not an issue' - so it should not be an issue for you. How dare you expect a basic function from the God of Apple if they deem it not necessary?

Ya how dare we, just open our wallets and shut the F up!

Ya I would rather have a percentage than an icon too. Or maybe make the battery icon bigger and put the percentage inside it. Bam problem solved!

That’s what I said last year about iOS12, and nope! Another year of Dealing with it. #Year2

i didn't know anyone used that, i guess i have never had the need for it....

Oh yeah, I know people who run it that way all the time and then comment how slow things are running.

I use it sometimes, even though I don't really need to. I almost always turn it on if I'm below 40%. To be honest, I haven't noticed a significant adverse effect on performance. It certainly doesn't make my 8 Plus slow. Maybe an animation stutter every now and then but that's all.

But does it really make any difference for battery life.

Overblown concern. You can read a battery percentage based on the percent fill of the icon or swipe down.

You can do it! We believe in you!

On the max it’s not as easy as the X to just “swipe down” It’s was highly used by me and if I use to be able to see it without “any action” then of course having to see it by swiping sucks! It’s activate reachability then swipe down right corner. So now, 2 actions have to be done.

Should be an option, but I also never think about battery life on any of my Apple devices. Just charge at night.

That’s true, I guess it’s just the addict in me..lol

Surely you just swipe right from the home screen and look at the battery widget?

This is annoying to me too, but my bigger problem is that the alarm icon is missing when I have an alarm set. I usually double check I have an alarm set a couple of times, so now I can no longer do this quickly since it's behind the lockscreen and control center. (Can you actually tell it's on from cc? I looked and the icon just opened the app, it didn't give a quick indication.)

Control center is a pain to access in general. The right upper side of the phone is the hardest place to reach on the phone for me.

Ya, reachability makes it easier but it’s just one more action you have to do. I think Apple did this to bloat ur screen time numbers.. lol

I love having a quantifiable number displaying the battery life and thought that I would miss it when I switched to the X last year.

Turns out, it was a bunch of nothingburger. If I really need to see the battery life, a tiny peek in control center will tell me the exact percentage.

If this is really a deal breaker for you, there are other manufacturers for phones that always display battery percentage,

My sister and I both have the iPhone Xs Max, when swiping right to notifications, then Edit to add Battery percentage widget, on my phone the widget is there to add, but on my sister's phone there is no widget to add. In control centre the battery percentage shows on both phones, so it's just the widget that's missing on one phone. I've done a hard reset but it hasn't changed anything, has anybody any suggestions or have the same problem?

The battery widget is better than always on percentage. If you need the percentage swipe down from the top. Or swipe right on the home screen for the widget. It also displays on the lock screen while charging. Not sure why you need it while using the device when it’s easily accessible.

That’s weird

What do you mean why!? Why do you some people like to watch porn. Cause it’s there choice! Lol
