i have been using Azureus for over 500GB now (or so it tells me) and it has been great.

transmission was fine, so was tomatotorrent. for my needs Azureus gets the job done and gets it done well. which is nice.

Edit: I just tried running it again, two bounces and then it closes. Any ideas why?

thats what happened to me. so i just got bits on wheels and it has been working fine.

however i think i am going to give transmission a shot

i loved AZ for windows. but im hearing it takes up a lot of RAM and can make things run slow. so i am going to avoid it on my mac.

i downloaded transmission. and i dont really see why everyone loves it so much. whats the difference btw transmission and every other BT client?

Not a whole lot DEE WIZZZADE

Azureus is the only one that is really all that different, because of all the features, and crazy preferences..

Transmission is just a quick and easy client, that's why some of us like it.
But, all Torrent Clients exist to do the same thing....download, upload torrents...so, they're all the same in that respect...

thats what i figured. people say they get faster dl speeds with certain clients, but i always figured it has more to do with the torrent (and its seeds) more than the client.

i do like transmission more than bits-on-wheels b/c it appears a bit more simple and has less stuff to deal with.

also, is there a way to see what my share ratio is?
