Transfer Pictures from iPhone to a PC

I can't figure out how to transfer the pictures from my iPhone to the computer. There is no option in iTunes. I searched for a solution on Google and it says I can use the Scanner and Digital Camera Wizard in XP, but the iPhone doesn't even show up in there. What should I do?

Open My Computer, Under Scanners & Cameras Right click on your iPhone and choose "Get Pictures" The rest is simple

Photo Transfer App

Hello everyone,
I'm the developer of 'Photo Transfer App', an iPhone application that lets you transfer photos from your iPhone to your computer over wifi, no cables or iTunes required! (it works with windows and macs)

You can transfer up to 50 pictures at one time and you can also transfer photos from your computer to your iPhone and even from one iPhone to another.

I hope you can check it out and find it useful:

Let us know if you have any comment or suggestions.
Cheers,

If you can't import photos from your iPhone to your computer (whether Mac of PC), you might want to check to see if you have any photos in the camera roll on your iPhone that did not originate from the iPhone camera (i.e. someone emailed you, taken on another camera, received from your computer, copied from the internet, etc.). If you do then Apple disables your ability to import or sync ANY photos contained on your iPhone until the non-originating photos are removed from the iPhone camera roll. The only work around is to email those non-originating pictures to yourself and then delete them to re-enable your ability to import/sync the remaining photos. I know it's a pain. Of course you could let Apple know how unsatisfactory this is at: http://www.apple.com/feedback

Help!1

OK I know I'm way late on this post but all of a sudden I'm having major issues with my iphone 3gs transferring pictures from my camera roll to my PC. Once my iphone is plugged in the little box pops up recognizing my iphone as a camera and asking me what I want to do. When I choose Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard an error pops up saying the camera is in use and I need to try again later even though nothing is going on on my iphone. Also, when I go into my computer and right click my iphone under cameras and scanners and click on get pictures...same error message. When I double click the icon so I can view my pictures, it's just blank. I've never had this problem before until now....SUGGESTIONS?! THANKS!!

Re downloading iphone photos to PC

Using an aged PowerBook and after several attempts to download the photos from my iPhone 3Gs via iTunes impossible, I decided to email the photos I want to my second account from my mac one, save the attachment and hi, presto I have the pics I want in my laptop:apple:

I need the opposite, please help!

This might sound like a silly question, but for the life of me, I'm trying to find a way to transfer a jpeg from my mac to my iPhone ios4 to use as a wallpaper. Everything I search for comes up with work-arounds for transferring pics to pc from phone.

Nothing I try seems to work, dragging from desktop to itunes, dragging from iPhoto to itunes...

Is email seriously my only option?

Running iPhoto once can restore import to other apps

I usually use Picasa to move my photos from my iPhone to my Mac, but at one point it just stopped recognizing the phone (although it still recognized my iPad). Rebooting the phone and computer didn't help. What did fix it though was running iPhoto, but not even doing an import. Somehow iPhoto discovered the device (which presumably mounted it in some form), and then when I ran Picasa it was finally able to see the iPhone and import as usual.

Hope this helps somebody...

Even though my iphone does not show under My Computer going to Scanners and cameras did make it show and downloading was then a doddle.
Regards

For sure works!

Hi I had this problem about 7 seconds ago... But I fixed it!
All you have to do is:

1. Connect your iPhone/iPod to your computer
2. Go to iTunes
3. On the left side, look for "devices" and click on it
4. Under the summary tab, scroll down to where it says OPTIONS
5. Uncheck where it says "Open iTunes when this iPhone/iPod is connected"
6. Click "Apply"
7. Close iTunes
8. Disconnect your iPhone/iPod
9. Reconnect your iPhone/iPod
10. There should be a window that pops up 5 seconds later with options to transfer your pics&videos.

Hope this works for you! :)

transfer photos from iPhone to PC

For PC users:

Connect iPhone to PC

go to:

1. Start
2. All Programs
3. Accessories
4. Scanner and Camera Wizard

once you click to bring up Scanner and Camera Wizard, it will recognize your iPhone (unless there's an odd glitch) and tell you the Wizard will help you copy pics to computer.

5. Click Next

All the pics in your iPhone will be displayed and highlighted/checked automatically. If there are some you don't want to copy, uncheck them.

There are also icons that give you an opportunity to rotate any or all of them before you proceed. You can do that by checking the ones you want to rotate. There is a "properties" icon to the right of the 2 "rotate" icons. You can see dates/times data for any pic. The bottom task bar will indicate how many pics are selected.

6. After some or all of pics you want to copy are selected, click Next

choices:

7. Type a name for the Group of pictures
8. Choose the folder you want to copy them to. Click on Browse button and find the right one. You can make a new folder from that option if you need to.

9. Click ok re those two steps.

10. BEFORE YOU CLICK NEXT: This is important!!! Be certain to check the box under the folder designation IF YOU WANT TO DELETE PHOTOS OFF THE CAMERA AFTER THEY ARE COPIED TO PC FOLDER.

If you have a ton of photos, that step will sure make your life easier if you are attempting to empty the Camera Roll in your iPhone Photos folder.

11. Click Next

Copying and deleting will then all happen automatically. No more choices until the end. Then a box pops up that gives you 3 choices: publish the pics to a website; order prints from a photo printing website; or "nothing, I'm finished working with these pictures." pick one.

If you're finished,

12. Click next

Wizard shows you the hot link to the folder you just copied the pics to if you want to click and see them.

13. Click Finish

Transfering photos from iPhone to Mac Computer

Hi there gr8ful was 100% correct. You must use iPhoto to do the transfer. It prompts you quite easily from there. Thanks gr8ful - this was really pissing me off!

Cheers!

transferring pics to your mac

1.connect your iphone to your mac.

I'm glad people have figured it out, because I tried doing this for the first time, and got so incredibly frustrated.

Welcome to Apple, which sells products that are so locked down that even transferring files is an issue. And I realize that "There's An App For That", but it really shouldn't be necessary.

iTunes can NOT transfer photos from iphone to PC???

I am surprised why can't iTunes do this simple job? Instead users should use the same old style like that of USB flash drive? Right click and transfer?

May be there better solutions of transferring photo from iPhone to PC???

Preview Imports All Photos

Anytime you plug in a device to a Mac and your device does not show up as a drive you can use Preview to import the files from that device.

Open Preview, Go to the File Menu, and at the bottom the device should appear. Choose your device and Import Photos as desired.

Preview imports photos from iphones, pro cameras, memory cards, etc.
