transfer iphone pics to Mac using Scotty

I used the app Scotty and it worked easily and accurately.

: )

I can't figure out how to transfer the pictures from my iPhone to the computer. There is no option in iTunes. I searched for a solution on Google and it says I can use the Scanner and Digital Camera Wizard in XP, but the iPhone doesn't even show up in there. What should I do?

The way I do it is to email the photo to my another email address and then I can access it from my email on the computer.

use preview

To import photos from your iphone, open preview, select file, and there should be an option to "import photos from ----'s iphone." it opens a new window, where you can select photos you'd like to import and file directory.

hey guys,

PhotoStream is the answer. Just turn it on ure iphone and ure imac. restart application on ure imac and reconnect your phone to ure imac. in iphoto ure devices r visible...in this case ure iphone. and then u can pretty much do the same as u would with another drive.

cheers...hope it helped. worked for me...

How do you stop the Auto Copying of Pictures

I plug my phone into any computer for charging and each time it auto copies all photos to that computer. How do you stop it?

Connect iPhone to your computer. In iTunes, select iPhone in the sidebar, then click the Summary tab. Deselect “Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected.” You can always sync by clicking the Sync button.
Prevent automatic syncing for all iPhones and iPods:

In iTunes choose iTunes > Preferences (on a Mac) or Edit > Preferences (on a PC), click Devices, and select “Disable automatic syncing for all iPhones and iPods.”

If this checkbox is selected, iPhone won’t sync automatically, even if “Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected” is selected in the Summary pane.
BTW; On a Mac, photo's don't sync onto computer automatically, (unless using iCloud or something). They will back up onto your Mac if that is checked though.
I assume you are talking about a PC computer, right? Hope it helped you.

I do use PC computers. I followed your instructions on the PC laptop/Itunes linked computer to the Iphone. The problem is when I take the phone and plug it into any other computer, such as work. There is no Itunes on the computer. When you plug in to charge, your photos start copying to the computer you plug into.

I uncheck the box that says "Auto play or run"
Does it prompt you to choose import photo's; Manually/Auto?
I'm sorry that is all i ran into while plugging into PC w/o itunes.
You might just want to carry the rest of the cord with you and wall charge it, to be easy.

Use Lightroom from PC to transferr pics

If you have Adobe Lightroom for PC it's easy. Plug your iPad into the USB port, open Lightroom, click Import and choose your iPad as the source.
Everything is there, not just the camera roll but all imported photos and video.
Choose where to import to on your PC....done!

Home Video

Hi! I have been reading about transferring photos and video but have not seen my problem yet. I have downloaded videos from my iPhone into my Mac desktop, but they don't play right. The audio portion plays properly, but the video stops and starts in 1-2 second intervals. I have used Image Capture, iPhoto, iMovie, transferred video to the desktop, but they always play back like a jerky slideshow. I don't want to delete my family movies from my phone until I know I can see them on the computer, and now my phone is full. What am I missing here?
