your guide is cut off after the first part of step 2. can you fix it? i am trying to create a airplay unrestrictor patch for fios mobile

Good News! SO, I jailbroke my device and installed Flex 2 for iOS 7. If you're not familiar with Flex, it allows you to create your own tweaks for just about any app and the springboard!

So, I looked up the tweaks for the Xfinity TV GO app and I only found a few which allows you to stop the app from detecting your device is jailbroken and allowing you to stream video via cellular data. Well, I still couldn't find anything for airplay. So, I decided to look around inside the app's preference and search for just about anything with the words "airplay" in it. I quickly switched the values for those preferences to TRUE where it said "enableAirplay" and FALSE where it said "disableAirplay". After about 20 edits, I turned the tweak on and sure enough, I managed to use AirPlay Video(not mirroring though)! So now when I watch Live TV or On-Demand programs and turn on AirPlay (but leave mirroring off) the video plays on my Apple TV! The only difference I've noticed is just that it won't do mirroring which is okay because I really only care about getting the video on the Apple TV, not the menus or the app itself.

My understanding is that the Digital AV Adapter uses the same AirPlay protocols as the Apple TV so theoretically, it should work. Hope I could help!

Cheers! :D

As someone who is completely new to Flex, could you give a detailed description on how you did this exactly? I have Flex purchased and installed and I'm also using the Xfinity app. Would LOVE to airplay these TV shows.

I've uploaded a patch for the TV Go app to enable Airplay.

Fantastic app and amazed at how powerful it is. Have tried to create a 4OD patch to allow airplay but have failed miserably. Does anyone have the know how to enlighten me!?

Fix Tv go hdmi out

it works perfect once downloaded , updated version does not need display out btw. Just download with flex and enjoy

Dish anywhere

Actually, the xfinity go app doesn't use the native player either but I was still able to enable AirPlay Video.

I'm still working on a guide for everyone.
If everyone can send me the app names of those apps that are restricted then I can go ahead and test them out.
How about the Dish Anywhere app. Thanks

Has anyone got the xfinity tv app to work with the digital AV cable? I don;t have an apple tv and ive been messing around with this app and flex for a few days and I can't get it to work.

DisplayOut makes the video play behind the "You can enjoy this video on your mobile device only" warning but the picture is dimmed quite a bit.

Enable airplay mirroring

You don't need to do any of this just download video pain double tap the video you want to play to make the pane show up exit the app and viola!

Thanks for the suggestion. I downloaded videopane on my ipad and my iPhone and tried it on both. unfortunately I couldn't get it to work on either. Tried a few different web videos and the xfinity tv go app and all I get is "failed to detach media"

Sky Sports iOS 7 Mirroring - Glitch??

I have a JB'n iPad on iOS 7.0.4. and a subscription to Sky Sports Mobile TV. I do have Flex installed but the only patch on this that I am using is the one for 4OD, mega patch 3.1 a great little bit of programming from Jwharmsby, mega respect! No ADDS. REALLY!

I digress. I am, as I write this, mirroring this app to my TV, which shouldn't happen, well not since I lost Unrestrict Premium (about time that was patched as it cost me money!). I'm not 100% sure how this has happened but first time was two days ago and when I first tried it again this evening to watch the Arsenal v West Ham match, I just received the usual "cannot mirror this etc.".

Anyway I think there is a glitch in the preventative software. I was curious how this had happened in the first place so I retraced my steps. I have found that if I mirror my iPad first and start the app (and if it doesn't work quit, hard reset of app by double click, and start again) it WILL mirror after one or two tries. Give it a whirl and don't be put off by the standard app refusal message.

Look, it's not HD or even SD quality but for £4.99 pm, on my big screen it'll do.

P.S. I'm editing this tonight and watching Man U and Norwich. Same scenario to get it mirrored.

Can you PLEASE show me what needs to be changed. I downloaded the patch that was on the cloud but it didn't work then I spent HOURS trying to configure it myself with no help! Please and thank you

Neither the Time Warner App Home network or the Airplay patches worked for me....can anyone help?

Since my last post, I've gone and updated to iOS 7.1.2 and lost my jailbreak.
The good news: I jailbroke my device again with Pangu and am willing to explore again to get airplay/mirroring working.

Awesome! There are a few patches available for the Time Warner App, but couldn't get my iPhone 5 to show all channels (still knew I was away from the Home network) and couldn't send a show to my Apple TV, mirrored or not-mirrored.

Okay, I found my patch for the Xfinity TV GO app that I had upload a while back when I first created this tutorial. I haven't tried them yet but once I can confirm it's working I'll post the unit names and values. If you would like to test it yourself first then follow these steps:

1) Download and install Cracked FLEX 2 from Cydia
2) Open Flex 2 and switch to the cloud tab (tap the cloud button on the bottom menu)
3) In the "Installed" list, look for the TV GO app, it should be called "Player", and tap on it.
4) Download the following patches:
- Player Skips Commericals
- Remove Jailbreak Check
- TV GO Patch
DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE AIRPLAY PATCH IN THIS LIST. That path is not mine and I have never tested it out so I don't know if it will work.
5) Tap back to the "Installed" list and go back to the top of the list
6) If you have the cracked version, the first app in the list will be the FLEX icon with the name "Uploads on Server Cracker". Tap on that.
7) This list is shows all the patches uploaded by users that have the cracked version of FLEX 2. (Most) Patches are in alphabetical order.
8) Scroll all the way down to the "T"s and look for TV GO: Enable AirPlay Video. Download this patch.
9) Go back to Patches tab (tap the list icon on the bottom menu) and turn on all the TV GO patches you just downloaded.
10) Enable AirPlay Video (NOT MIRRORING) and any video you play from the app will be sent via AirPlay Video(NOT MIRRORING) to the Apple TV

Let me know how it works out below!

I don't have a TWC subscription so I suspect I won't be able to test it out. However, I offer this advice: in Flex 2, start a new patch, choose the TWC app, add a new unit and choose the executable to process all the units in the app, then do a search for all mentions of airplay. If the unit uses the words allow/activate/enable then set it's value to "True". If it says disable/deactivate/disallow, then set that unit to "False"

Try activating AirPlay (alone at first and then mirroring) in CC in the SpringBoard and then opening the TWC app and playing a video.

Let me know how it turns out for you!

For the home network requirement, try searching for units that mention wifi and discerning if it controls the home network requirement based on what the unit name says.

It works amazing for me, I can finally watch my shows on demand using my iPad and AirPlay! My only complaint is that I cannot lock the iPad while it's playing, therefore I have to turn off the iPad auto-lock feature.

Ok, there was already a Flex patch called TWC TV Tweaks which worked great, including mirroring! It does not work if you don't mirror.
