When they say “Siri Remote”, are they talking about the current aluminum version with the Siri button on the side?

Or will this also work with the black glass version with the trackpad?
Did we ever figure this out? Silver Siri Remote, both USB-C charging and the older Lightning version supported?

Almost a month later… anyone figure it out yet?
I saw something at the top of my screen where the name of the Apple TV usually is displayed in the Apple TV Remote App. It looked like a pop-up that said something about locating my remote but it auto dismissed really quick and i couldn’t make it appear again

I think I'm looking forward to the TVOS update as much, if not a little more, than the IOS update. I was impressed that they spent longer than a few minutes talking about it at WWDC and wish it would come out already.

I have 4K Apple TVs Gen 1,2,3 all running TvOS 17 Beta 4 and iPhone 14 Pro Max running iOS 17 beta 4. None provide a way to locate a missing remote. Have a young family and would appreciate anyone’s help getting this feature enabled :)

Same here! All three generations in use. All on beta. Grandkids were here ten days ago and one of them got hold of the remote and hid it in the magic place that kids seem to all know about. Hoping there will be a way to find it eventually. It’s the gen 2 newer remote but with lightning.

some people have been able to get the find button to show, but it’s inoperable.

I have the 2022 4K gen 3 with usb-c and it’s still not enabling the option. 🤞on beta 5

I saw it briefly after upgrading to the latest beta. Couldn’t find it ever since😅

I got it to show up with beta 5, but I couldn’t do anything with it. I’m also not sure if it’s the iPhone beta or the TV beta that triggered the prompt. It shows up on your phone when you open the Apple TV remote app and connect to an Apple TV. A notification appears on the phone, but clicking it did nothing. I tried it on two of my Apple TVs.

Why is nobody talking about "find my item sharing"? It was on the summary page of IOS 17
Yes! This is huge. The reason I haven't bought any AirTags is the fact that they have zero awareness of any kind of sharing. So, if I put one in my luggage and go on vacation with my family, my wife is going to get "unknown AirTag" notifications, and vice versa. I understand they are probably being very cautious about abusive tracking situations, but this also makes it very hard to use Find My in a family or other shared situation.

The feature isn’t working yet. Some people on the beta have had the find button appear but tapping it does nothing. Your Siri remote may also need a firmware update for the find function to work. Check your remote firmware for any updates after each beta release.
