Two paths: Discontinuation or New Design

Just bought a mini today with 8gb and 1Tb. Will use it With Logic Pro. Needed the form factor and had a MacBook pro with pretty much the same specs connected to a monitor and keyboard/mouse. I thought that dedicated a MacBook pro to this configuration wasted the MacBook. For $649 I was able to get the MacBook to use as needed and a mini. Hope there are no surprises
