It is my opinion that almost every other laptop making company designs their laptops in such a way that they automatically look really old after about 6 months (if they did not to begin with, at least), to make sure that their existing customers feel the need to upgrade. The only exceptions to this rule seem to be Asus, Sony and Dell's M1330.
That isn't the case with Apple's laptops. My 4.5 year old 12" PowerBook still looks to the Apple-uneducated as if it is brand new and expesive. That is a good thing.
Anyway, while it would be nice to see some small improvements to the MacBook Pro like the magnetic latch, the user replaceable hard drive and the newer keyboard style, the current design is great, and changing it just for the sake of changing it would be a bad idea.
