Well that was good timing. Someone just bought my old MacBook Pro 16" (i9 2.3, 16GB, 1TB) so that's now packaged up and sitting waiting to be shipped out today.
Good riddance! I couldn't stand how it got so hot when barely doing anything. The chassis got hot to the touch and the fans ramped up when all I was doing was some light web browsing.

I have the 13” equivalent and yea they are eye-wateringly expensive! As you’d expect it’s well made, great quality of leather (embossed apple logo on the back) and it’s a very tight fit. On the rear it had little bumps for the feet of the old
MacBooks which lined up perfectly when on. I have the saddle brown colour which looks great.
Biggest issue, apart from the price, is that you can’t get to the usbc ports when in the case. So no way to charge when in.
They are a tight fit so I’d be surprised if the current 16” sleeve fits the new MacBooks perfectly plus the bumps for the feet would be different too.

It's arrived! I'm just setting it up now. Initial impressions are good, reminds me of the old Powerbook G4. There are no noticeable blemishes, nicks or scrapes anywhere.
Just had the official Apple dispatch email - new estimate 25th Nov (was 29 Nov-6 Dec)Just had a text from DHL to say they've received the package - although no 'Shipped' update from Apple yet.
Now the long wait/radio silence until it reaches the UK!

Stanford is in Essex. Mine got stuck there for 3 days but things were different then. Whereabouts are you in the UK?

Mines still showing 3rd-10th December processing. There was a notification of payment update yesterday so was hoping for some movement today but nothing 😅
I'm in the midlands. FWIW, it still thinks delivery will be by end of tomorrow. We will see!

I would have usually said yes but it seem some recent parcels into cologne haven't left till the next morning. They did use to leave what would have been later this evening or early am into East Midlands.

I don't know what the governing factor is (maybe carrier?) but my M1 MBA left Cologne in the early morning and went to Stanford le Hope (Essex) by road. My carrier was UPS.
Others flew from Cologne to East Midlands airport. Maybe they were DHL?
