Same as me! However thinking about it in this country we still have to go I store don’t we to be approved? Or has that changed now?

why on earth couldn’t we be pre approved say now, ready for tomorrow..

I can literally see that happening to me on Friday :D
You have to go in store yeah, I think you can pre-order it online but you have to go there to set it up, at least you did when I was on it.

I really didn't like the clear case, especially for the price, it's like hard plastic as well which I do actually prefer lol.

I'm in the same boat with my XS - no real benefit in upgrading to even the 11 Pro iPhone (I hardly use my camera as it is!) other than slightly cheaper monthly payments on IUP (if I don't opt for AppleCare).

Not sure its even worth my time and effort to pre-order tomorrow and pick up next week for just a slight decrease in monthly payments - especially given the fact that if I wait til this time next year, I get to keep my current XS (as opposed to giving it back to Apple to pay off the remainder IUP loan if I were to upgrade this year) and can hand it down to the other half!

They never release pricing til pre-orders go live + don't want to be first to come out with prices - they're all waiting to see what each other's gonna do first.....!
I have had a mixed bag with Music Magpie. When upgrading to my XS Max I went through the process of selling my X - MM quoted me over £600 for it - going rate was about £485 at the time, not sure what happened but there website was obviously broken. I sent both phones off, immaculate screen and surround as they had been in a apple case, the only section which was slightly scuffed (as I say the tiniest of hairline scratches) was the bottom near the charger. Music magpie claimed there was dust under the screen, scratches and allsorts wrong with it. I received it back (in the same condition I sent it in) a few days later. I assumed they lied because they didnt want to honour the overpriced amount they offered. On another occasion I sent off my Apple Watch 3 with no problems at all.

When I got this phone back I took it to CPW, after spending 10 minutes discussing how great a condition the phones were in, him saying that they are the best he has ever seen, going so far as to asking if we actually used them, he then took them to be checked on the computer, then came back and offered me like £200 for them due to hairline scratches - I am being serious when I say they were invisible unless the light caught them right. I then went to another CPW store who checked them no problems and gave us the £800 or so (for two).

Ultimately I pooped myself for a couple of days thinking that MM were going to send me back a dodgy phone, but they didnt.

Same here. Sent series3 watch to them, there was not a mark on ( have photos ). When they got it they claimed it had heavy scratching on it and dropped the prise from £140 to £82, I declined. I think they try it on sometimes.

I'm also getting a clear case, but can't justify the apple price. I ordered this Ringke Fusion one for the 11 Pro Max at a 10th of the price!

I have one for my current xs max and its lasted great for 11.5 months now

Over the last few years I have used a range of cases and I really liked the Spigen Ultra Hybrid. The Apple case was expensive, but I really want to give it a try.

Yeah it’s awkward because I don’t have the money to buy it outright ><

Why can’t we get pre-approved like the US? It’ll be so embarrassing getting declined in-store and have to leave with nothing lol

What about getting a 0% credit card instead? You could put it on there and then divide the cost over 12 monthly payments. That’s what I’ve been doing the last few years.

Hi All,
Pretty excited about tomorrow!
I’ve read most of the thread and couldn’t see anyone asking for this question.
Next Friday I’ll be away and I was wondering if I could order for in Store pick up and pick it up on Saturday instead of Friday? I’ve done both store pick up and shipped at home but always on release day.
Anyone knows?
Thanks!

Just to clarify there is no such thing as a credit score, it’s a fabricated number created by the Credit Reference Agencies to get people to pay for it...
Well it's free with Experian and Clear Score but I agree it's mostly ********, seems to be a big deal in America though.

That would be the worst.

Can’t remember the last time I was on the launch day hype, I’ve missed the excitement.
Got an X on launch but that was a spur of the moment thing on launch day rather than proper pre-order hype.

I have a XS and was anticipating buying an 11 Pro - but when I saw the price was now over £1K and still only 64GB RAM I decided I'd had enough and went out and bought a Samsung Galaxy S10e 128GB for £569 from the Samsung Store. I am very familiar with Android and Samsung phones so it's not an issue for me.

Congratulations, you bought the iPhone XR equivalent of the Samsung S10 range.

If you paying upfront for the phone and setting it for store pick up then they’ll keep it as it’s yours. If you’re reserving in store for iup and you miss your reservation then it goes back into the pool for allocation

Pre-order day tomorrow!

Then everyone will be tracking flights from China and working out which week their iPhone was built in haha

Ah shame that doesn’t really happen any more. Won’t see much as the phones are usually here in bulk and allocated up at syncreon in Hinkley. As they start doing that it will go preparing for shipment and then allocated to the courier at which point you get the tracking info. It’s even worse when you reserve for store pick up as you only get the ‘see you friday’ message in the apple store confirming your reservation and that’s all :(

I'm currently on o2. Contract is practically finished. Been with them for years and years. Any insight into perhaps moving to Sky? I'm a VIP customers there so hoping that helps with any potential discount (if they do that kind of thing). Also got an option to upgrade via my partners account on Vodafone where we would both get 15% off.

I'm looking at the 256Gb iPhone Pro Max Space Grey.

It no longer works. There was one ‘ADD10’ which was active for a few hours last week. A few of us managed to bag the extra 10% and a decent price before the keynote and prices dropping
