When do people think my order should move from ‘Processing Items’ to ‘Preparing to Ship’ - my order is due for delivery on 18th ??

Thursday or Friday as a guess. Mine is preparing to ship now for delivery on the 13th, didn't see when it changed though.

Just checked it out and it's about the only place left that has the MagSafe wallet available but only in black.
From experience, if it says in stock online doesn't actually mean it's in stock. They do not seem to update their stock levels often enough.

...seems that they've sold out fast - even at my local Apple Store (Bromley), they only have the blue ones left (for pick up only)

Alright folks, been lurking here since placing my 12 Pro Max order last week and you've got my interest: I'm on EE, what's the best way to switch over from a physical SIM to an eSIM?

Is it just a case of ordering one and adding that to my new phone when it arrives? Any issues I need to be aware of when ordering an eSIM i.e. will my physical sim get cut off?

Finally, how does it work If I need to do a restore at any point?

Request eSim over the phone and ask them to put notes on the order to please not activate it (emphasise again and again you want an inactive sim) and tell them to bollocks with £1.50 charge and they will waive it.

The plan stays on even after restore. The only way you can remove the plan is when you delete the iphone it gives you the option to do so or under mobile data settings.

When you do call EE make sure you express the importance of them ordering an inactive SIM. I've been caught out twice now when ordering a new SIM from customer services they cut my current SIM off before I've received my new one.

Not too dissimilar to the Watch then, what about If need to replace the phone at any point?

Thanks for the heads up both, I might hold off ordering until the phone get here in that case. Still not convinced it's worth the hassle over a physical SIM though.

Think I’m about ready, just waiting on my eSIM from EE.
Watching a few videos about the 12PM I was actually a little bit concerned about the size difference.
Tried my XS Max in the 12PM case just and there is VERY little difference.
I think it always looks bigger watching a video about the ‘Plus’ sized phones as opposed to using them, and I’m sure if I watched a video about the XS Max now, I’d be thinking, “that phone is too big!”. Whereas in reality, it’s perfect for me.

If you are coming from the XS Max or 11PM and are concerned about the size, believe me, don’t be!

Panic over, bring on Friday :D
