and according to live chat, they're not delivering until the day after...
"This will be in stock on 22 so you should be getting this by next day. Delivery slot will be booked on the date we have the stock received by us."
given how busy it will get in the next few days... those not ordering from Apple directly (Amazon, Argos etc).. it would be great to keep a track of the experience (pre-order, comms, charges, delivery dates couriers etc) so we can all remember for next year too.

EE said the exact same thing a couple of years ago... it still came on launch day. I'm guessing it's just staff not knowing stuff and wanting to get rid of Apple users pestering them for information... I am that Apple user when i don't get kept in the loop of what is going on with my preorder 😂
I think every time you go on live chat with Argos you get a different answer.
But they're advertising to be delivered on 22nd September and if they don't, they will face my wrath.

This is why I refuse to buy another iPhone until they’re made from diamond, or until Friday…whichever comes first…
the guys on first line support for places like Argos etc won't have a clue about the logistics arrangements taking place. They typically follow scripted responses with little knowledge of what's happening behind the scenes..

I’m debating whether I should or not. I’m useless at putting screen protectors on and I go to this kiosk at the shopping centre that sells cases and screen protectors. I buy my own screen protectors and get them to do it on all my devices even my Switch and Steam Deck.
They usually charge £2-5 and always do a great job. I’m not sure whether I want to use the lens protectors and whether they will put them on for me. I’m not sure if they’re really needed and if they affect the picture and video quality. 🤔
I imagine that’s why they’ve stopped taking them as they probably have a huge glut of them now. 🤔just looked at what UR are selling all our phones at which we've traded in recently.
