It’s all Foxconn with the same quality checks and standards. You wouldn’t expect the tolerances of the quality of the factory output to change based on geographic location

And if anything, indian equipment might be new and shiny. Most of the hard stuff (chips etc) isn't a manual process afterall.

Probably not... 5/10 minutes probably isn't an issue, but much more than that they're likely to turn you away - especially if you go in the morning at their busiest.

And the individual components such as cameras, batteries, etc are manufactured all over the place. Then transported to a final assembly factory

In my head there's lines of trucks all lined up at the distribution centres I wonder how many they get on a pallet. I vaguely remember seeing a pilot of a UPS flight years ago, probably around iPhone 5 days, showing the cargo hold full of pallets of iPhone. He did mention at the time how many were onboard, several hundred thousand I think.

What brand did you go for? I’m in the same boat with CarPlay but may use the old 5w for overnight charging to preserve battery health. Looking at Anker braided ones in Amazon - 2 for £7.99…

Do you know that you can get USB A to USB C adapters, although probably for similar price.

I don’t honestly know. Just that china have being making iPhones for many many years now and India is only new to the scene? I’m hoping for a one made in china. Mine is expected for delivery between 28th sept-3rd oct. I can’t wait 🤩
