Just a quick question to confirm. Im not a UK citizen so I cannot use the iUP. If I choose to reserve an iPhone through the iUP page and just show up, can I just pay with my card upfront and just take my phone? I dont see availability in central London for 256GB NaTi PM and I think that during my visit in London from Greece I will just reserve an iPhone at the closest Apple Store in London with the iUP and show up and purchase it upfront.
Please confirm that this is possible. It's a pitty to spend nearly half of my day for nothing. Thank you!

Yes you can, you can fully reserve and pay cash/card on collection. You don't have to sign up to iUP. Equally, check the main website, if there's plenty of stock, you can pay in full on the website and they'll hold it for you for 7 days. Stock only shows if the stock >10 units. iUP shows all stock even if there's only 1 unit left.

Well I ordered the same as you but on the 22 Sep. My date still says 10-17 Nov.
I have same window as you, 10-17 Nov for PM NaTi 256gb, ordered 21st Sept 🤦♂️. If I am going past a store at any point I'll see if they have stock but otherwise I'll just wait it out patiently

I ordered a PM 256gb in blue on Oct 16 yet my window is 7 Nov - 14 Nov. Seems odd to me. I’m sure things will pick up next week and your window will jump forward.
Strange isn’t it. Although I’ve been noticing that the dates for new orders are moving back and forth quite a lot, and the dark phones seem to be delivering ahead of the lighter ones. Are orders generally arriving before the delivery estimate window now or are they still within them?
Shipped will only appear when the courier has it though, or this is how it worked when I got my launch day deliver. Preparing to ship started When it left China I think. I have a feeling, it may not come from China but from warehouse in Europe (Ireland?). Logically around that time they have to fulfil their inventory before holiday season. I noticed Apple likes to deliver at the beginning of estimated range so 4-5 days left including weekend and it is unlikely it will go straight from China in my opinion.

To save your blood pressures, the green bar is meaningless - it only moves in relation to the label changing. If you look in the code of your order, you'll see a `currentStatus` key. Once that changes, the green bar will move, and it will look slightly different depending on your device, screen, browser size etc. I have a script checking mine every minute, because I'm a giant loser, which one day I may make available to other Apple losers to save the whole Green Bar Envy and keep everyone up to date on their extravagant purchases

i wonder why the dark colour iphone are in store everywhere but the natural and white is hard to come by. JL and argos both have blue and black 15 pm but not the lighter colour ones..
Two suggestions:
1) Mis-match between marketing predictions and real customer choices;
2) Manufacturing issues - whether some sort of failure in manufacture (not necessarily related to colour), or supply chain.
John Lewis have absolutely no 15PM available on their website - all colours. all storage capacities are:

From reading here, it initially looked like Natural was the runaway top option. Since when, I've noticed a lot saying how much they like the White.

FYI, launch phones were never shipped directly from China. They were already in the UK with Synchreon in Hinckley and then distributed to the various couriers to deliver. In the US they’re still shipped directly to customers from China.
