UK folk, opinions on the best trade in company at present?
I got offered marginally more (+£5) by Apple than Music Magpie for my iPad Pro 2018 256 and 4g - and MM require a stylus (which I have never had). And that despite me originally purchasing it as a refurb from Apple.

There might be others, but between those two, Apple would be better. I'm just not convinced I want to pay for a new iPad at all!

Don't bother now; waste of time & you get less and less money...

Wait for the 80% off selling fees on eBay and advertise there, Sunday to Sunday 7pm etc for an auction, or any time for a Buy it Now price

Sell an immaculate 15PM 256GB on theyre its £915, minus their £110 fee and £6 for shiping leaves you with just under £800

Sell the same phone on eBay as BIN via their Manage Payments (NOT PayPal) for the same price'ish with their 80% off selling fees - you're £100 better off

Unless you're desperate for the £££ - the trade in sites make no sense

That’s if you sell now you can ask for an asking price like on eBay

The set price is only if you want a quick sale. Which is what people use comparison sites for really. EBay is fine to use but you can use this site the same way granted fees are more.

I know some don’t trust eBay

Late to this but getting a better price with ur.co.uk than any of the usuals (mozuma, envirophone, music magpie etc)
They just paid out for my 14Pro and Apple Watch Series 8. They’re also showing a significantly higher price for my iPad Air than the others

I used ur.co.uk last year for my 14 pro. Was a great service and there was no issues with payment. Would definitely use them again!

That is by far the best recycler / trade in price I’ve seen. Nice find.

Hi all, I’ve just noticed that Grade Mobile (12k+ reviews on Trust Pilot) are offering £793 for my 15PM 256GB whilst Music Magpie are only offering £650.

It states (using my 15PM as an example):

Recycling:
iPhone 15 Pro Max

Network

Unlocked

Condition

Great

Storage

256GB

*We could pay up to:
£798.00

The last part is what gets my attention; 'pay up to' - I'd be wary of that

I still stand by unless you're desperate to sell; then stick it on eBay when the 80% off selling fees is running and you'll get a decent chunk more £££

Good point about eBay. I think as long as your condition is reflective of the option selected when setting up the order, you should be ok. However, I’ve used MM Smart Kiosks for the last two years so don’t really how funny the mail in service providers are nowadays.

Funny to see people talking of trading in a 15 Pro model, when I was just thinking of finally getting one as the prices have come down even on new handsets. And I bet the 16 Pro models will see another price rise.

Getting a phone when they first come out means you pay more as they always come down in price plus I don’t change my phone yearly anymore.

The 15 Pro was cheaper than the 14 Pro.

Well as it’s come down in price even more then it’s better value now.

Plus it’s the iPhone 17 that’s the big upgrade getting rid of the Dynamic Island and when all three camera sensors will be upgraded.

They never come down in price directly from Apple in the first year of release.
