16 Pro with delivery 1st - 8th Oct has changed to Preparing to Ship for the Wife. My 16 Pro Max is still Processing for 8th - 15th Oct
Mines preparing for despatch now, same 1st-8th delivery window. How often do they normally take before despatch?

& this is exactly what my post is about.

You’ve ordered a pro, a pro max in a colour you don’t want and another pro max.

Why not just go to a shop and make you decisions with the tester devices they have on display? Nobody in the UK is that far from a shop.
Ummm I’m disabled, I’m a full time carer and I live 80 miles from my nearest Apple store. There’s no way I can ‘just go to a shop’

Yeah people forget how little Apple Stores are spread out in UK, they are mostly around London or other major city and not always easy to get to them. Lucky I am not too bad but I have to make lot of effort to go London to get Apple Store myself, I can't just go, I need plan day out too.

I can’t believe the Apple Store still has none for pickup what is going on??
This is definitely worse than previous years. I'd have expected some stocks in stores this week every few days. Call me a cynic, but I've always thought Apple controls supply for revenue reporting management. We are approaching the last few days of the quarter. I wonder if they have sold enough for the financials this Q so not putting more into the supply chain so they have an immediate load of sales next Q.

It does feel like yet again Apple hasn't quite figured out the the Pro Max is a product a lot of people want compared to the Pro.

Anyone had any luck with Apple Store restocks for the pro max since release?

I’ve checked daily at 6am to no avail.
I might be wrong here, but I believe they show as available when they have arrived at the store and they have been 'checked in'. That's historically been the case, though it might have changed now ?

Anyone close to Brighton / London trading in or selling a iPhone 15 Pro Max?

I’ve got a 16 Pro Max on order but considering cancelling and picking up a used 15 and buying a new 17 next year.

EBay and Marketplace are full of scammers!
I have an absolute mint Blue Titanium 15 Pro Max that will be going on eBay this week but if you want to make me an offer, drop me a DM

PM'ed you. I have a (recently replaced by apple Care) pristine iPhone 256GB in Black available.

I think it’s also partly that Pro Max buyers are more likely to be people who want the phone on day one, to the point of joining forums to talk about the phone months before it is even released etc.
People who buy the standard iPhone I think are often people who just buy a phone when their contract runs out, or the old one dies.

My order just moved to preparing to ship. From experience that people had, how long does it take for it to actually ship?

Yeah this has been first year I didn’t preorder didn’t think a week later I’d still be with no iPhone

Just a quick update that it looked this morning as if some stores had some limited availability. As I write Norwich has 256GB Titanium Pro Max in stock.

It doesn’t have to be an Apple Store
You’re right .. locally, we have a Currys and an Argos 😉
John Lewis 80 miles away in the same place as the Apple Store.
Also have EE but they have none for sale yet (late October apparently)
We recently (in the past 5 years) have an M & S but, unfortunately, they don’s sell iPhones 😁

Sound, thought so - so you can see them closer to home than travelling 80miles then (they don’t need to be in stock to see the display units and inform your order).

Clearly we’re not going to see eye to eye on this because I’m of the opinion people are unboxing unnecessary amounts of iPhones, whereas you’re not bothered and counter any suggestion.

To chime in on this I agree it is more of a philosophical thing. I've come to realise that many people tend to return stuff very often, whereas I do not. I'm a 'commit before you buy' person vs. 'I will give it a go and see if I like it'. I've only returned something Apple once, where I historically bought iPads with Cellular, lots of messing around on availability and for a new generation picked the WiFi and within a few days realised the error of my ways ! There's also quite frankly the hassle of returning things which I hate (including potentially having to outlay more cash then normal depending on credit card payment cycles).

I do appreciate though that some people don't have the luxury of being able to get out at any point in time.
