Thought I would try my chances with JL and Argos this morning as I’m in club 13-20!

JL: got in at bang on 8. Made it to the payment screen after a LOT of hanging only for an error to occur. Couldn’t get in again.

Argos: checked out for delivery tomorrow. Payment failed as Halifax placed a fraud block on my card. After a painfully long conversation with the fraud team @Halifax managed to push my order through again for delivery tomorrow!

My question is, how reliable are Argos with their delivery promises and does anyone know which courier they use?

Park Royal depot, no time slot. Oh the wait, should just go back to sleep. Then I’ll dream about getting the delivery, and wake up to a “Sorry, we missed you. Please collect from blabla” card. Life.

It's just a couple of miles down the road for me, but we usually get DPD round here early afternoon. I think it will be mid afternoon this time. I just want to get a slot so I can plan my day.

Has Barclays Finance fallen over yet or is it all smooth running? Last year I was there for three hours and ended up coming back the next day. Booked a lunchtime slot this year just in case (and also because I was reminded as I had the choice of slots that I now have to do a school run...)
