What colour did you get your iPhone X in... silver? If so, then it would explain why you got it delivered so fast!

I ordered mine on 11th Saturday and I've been informed by a work colleague that I should get it hopefully this week! ;)

I ordered space grey - haven't got it yet, but ordered it 2 days after you. Would love to believe they'll come some time this week, but considering they're still fulfilling orders from the first day of pre-order I find that unlikely.

Sorry to those if you who are still waiting for your orders but mine came today and I'm glad I made the plunge now.

The notch doesn't bother me at at all and I'm not really missing TouchID at all just yet, FaceID is insanely fast.

Really hope you manage to receive your phones soon :)

I ordered from EE on Sun 5th. Originally given a 17th date which then changed to 23rd
 
Yeah its frustrating for everyone! Really hoping some come in this week so I don't have to wake up at 6am anymore!

I think I'll pick up the screen protector and a leather case!

I went for thit blue silicone case this time around as none of the leather colours really did it for me...

Keep us updated with your progress, as in theory you're a week ahead of us. How close to the 17th did you date change? Will be interested to see how accurate the 23rd is.
 
Well that's the journey over for another year (or two?) I got an email this morning to let me know my iPhone X 64GB SG (ordered 10.15am on the 3rd December) was ready for collection at the O2 store in Edinburgh.

Went in at around 2pm and traded-in my old iPhone 7 Plus. Bit of a faff at first as the assistant couldn't find my phone in the stock-room: had I had a text? Yes - so she went back to look again and came out with it!

Just a shame that the people who do the O2 Live Chat aren't as nice, approachable and knowledgeable as the O2 store assistants - no complaints there - a pleasant experience.

Back home and restoring the phone - it feels good in the hand and looks the business!

Keep the faith all of you who are still waiting - it's worth it in the end: there is light at the end of the tunnel.
 
Ordered an iPhone X Space Grey 256gb on the 1st of Nov via CPW. Was told delivery was gonna be by the 17th of nov. I got an email from DPD with tracking no etc on the 17th and it said delivery was going to be today the 20th. Updated email this morning from DPD saying they hadn't received my parcel due to a delay. I called CPW and they've now told me the email shouldn't of been sent to me in the first place and that an IMEI no wasn't allocated to me when I ordered so a handset hasn't been reserved for me. Delivery is now on the 1st of dec.

What annoy's me the most is my sister and my dad went in store to CPW a week after I ordered mine their 64gb space grey's have both come into stock today.

It changed on the 16th with an annoying email title “your order is on track”. It certainly wasn’t on the track I expected lol.

Well I managed to get collect my John Lewis order from DPD depot today.

256 SG (wanted Sliver but when it’s in the case who sees or cares.......but then.....

...Noticed on the John Lewis box it’s been sent by ‘John Lewis Returns’
Opened up the JL box and the outer film has clearly seen some action. Opened the actual Apple box and everything does seem mint and never been opened ....so I can only assume this one has been dispatched originally by JL and sent right back and put back on sale, hence the outer film being a bit scratched up.

Ok....can live with all that .....but I am devastated that the top speaker sounds even worst than my first 256 SG. Compared to my 7+ it sounds like a pound shop speaker.
Just sitting here ****ing disgusted and slightly exasperated by the whole thing now. SIM card back in the 7+. Don’t know if I have the energy or will power to try again with the X

Sounds like a right ** up at CPW, I was in the same boat as you. Didn't get the DPD email though. I wonder what stock system they use. I wonder if they are prioritising contract phones over sim free something. Very infuriated at the whole affair. Will now have to see if the local stores get anything in. Or place an order with Apple directly.

Also when I asked for the cancellation from CPW, they asked if I wanted a cheque!? I said no and wanted my money back on my debit card. They have said 3-5 days for the refund, but the standard email says 28 days for the refund. I will never ever use CPW for anything.

Just to make sure that you’ve updated before jumping to any conclusions? No idea why but mine came with 11.0.3 installed. I’m also guessing you’ve peeled off the protector that comes on the phone out the box? Just want to make sure before having to return another one, that would annoy me to no end.

I know there were issues with the iPhone 8 receiver sounding like crap on earlier updates, so maybe give that a go before the hassle of returning it!

Edit: just looked over your post about it coming from John Lewis returns.. I think you’ve found the reason why it was returned!

I think I might give them another call tomorrow and see if I can get anything out of them. Make's you wonder if they are prioritising handsets. Why would I get sent a DPD email with my order no as the sender's reference. It's a pretty bad mistake to send to a customer I think.

I've got my new case and screen protector I'm ready to go! Where's my iPhone X CPW? lol
 
Seeming to be getting on OK with 64GB much to my surprise. Anyone else surprised how long the X’s battery life is. The other thing that it initially struck me is its speakers, first iPhone I’ve owned with speakers that actually match the best of Android devices.
