Looks like there is PLENTY of stock. Not sure, however, if this is because Apple managed to ramp up production of the 8 or whether it is indicative of people seeing the iPhone 8 as the consolation prize or 2nd best in some way, and therefore holding out for the iPhone X despite the exorbitant price.

256Gb with Applecare + reserved for instore pickup.

That was painless-apart from my Amex card that got declined because I lost my wallet recently and had my cards replaced and the one site I hadn't amended all my card details was Apple...

Amen for 1Password.

No X then mate?

I feel all alone in potentially ordering one

Is it even possible to reserve an iPhone for in-store purchase unless you’re on the iUP? Only option I can see is pay now for pick up later. Always thought regular customers could simply reserve too.

I wanted home delivery and it kept saying in store pick up in the basket. I'm glad there was so much stock left, because I deleted it and started my basket 3 times! Then I noticed the 'check availability' link for deliveries where I have to enter a postcode; why would it not remember my postcode and check automatically!

Anyway, panic over, 64gb plus ordered. Had a 6 plus on day one but returned it after a week for the regular size, it's time to try the big one again.

I forgot I had to change the default credit card in the store app (I hardly use it as I get a discount on accessories, iPads, macs through an employee discount site), and managed to duff up entering that card number 3 times as well...

I really hope just cause I've gone for an 8am pickup there's no waiting in a big queue... Are there separate lines for reserved orders and on the day purchases?
I've done that so I can get to work in time afterwards...

I just managed to put in a second order via the app, and it still went through fine!

The 'Add to Wallet' section of the app isn't working for me though, just gives a 'try again later' error.

No email confirm yet either!!

We’ve reserved my girlfriend’s iUP upgrade for Saturday 23rd. Just easier to get to the store on Saturday rather than Friday after work.

i can't see them saying no if you turned up and said you want to pay in full instead?!

iPhone 8 64gb ordered.

Disappointed it doesn't have portrait mode but the X is too expensive and the 8 plus is too big.

Will sit back and relax and see what happens for next year hopefully they retain a cheaper iPhone and don't make it £1k starting price. Would like new iPad too but again the Pro model is priced out my range and probably is for many people.

Also holding out for next year and will benefit from fast charging for now. Curious to see pricing for optional AirPod case and AirPower as I also have an Apple Watch
the AirPods case is rumoured to come in at a whopping £69 JUST for the the case! crazy
