Mines still showing as at depot
I do think the vans have already left and tracking is delayed. My driver was well in to deliveries before mine was updated.
This is pretty much always the case with a brand new phone. I’d guess you’ve been downloading apps and data and setting it all up. Things level out after a day or two.

Very nice combo mate! I have the 256bg in silver on the way and wanted the FG cover but my girlfriend wanted it more and I obviously didn't want matching cases, so I got a trusty black one instead! I think the silver accents at the bottom of the phone and around the camera are elegant touches to the leather cases.

Just picked my iPhone XS Max up and… the screen is awful. :’( I’ve got a horribly yellow display which goes very pink with the slightest change in angle.

Definitely a 2 hand job. I had a 7 plus and sold it a few weeks ago. Got s 6s as a stop gap.

People that pay for early deliveries are probably prioritised over others so they are delivered in time.
Initial impressions? I'm sitting here looking at my 7+ wondering if the screen is just going to be too big...
Don't know if you've had an OLED before, but they all do the off-axis colour shift to some degree - it's a characteristic of the screen and looks very different to the off-axis appearance of a LCD. re: the yellow, remember (a) it has True Tone and (b) whatever you're comparing it to screen-wise might be too blue. FWIW I noticed both of these to some degree on my X, after about 24h didn't think anything of it and it's not bothered me to this day. If you really can't cope with it that's what the 14-day return window is for.
