I'm on 3. I switched 4G off a couple of months ago as it simply stopped working (nothing downloaded, Apple Music wouldn't connect to stream etc. I just run 3G now. My friend also has the same issue. I shall be switching in January when my contract is up.
Glad I switch back to EE 3UK is slow overselling the service tested my speed today yet again outside London 4mb. lol

Anyone whose reserved for pickup from John Lewis had it arrive before 2PM?? I’m getting impatient!!

Also does anyone know if Apple can add AppleCare without opening the sealed box?

I want to savour that at home if poss!!
[doublepost=1537608513][/doublepost]Edit:

Ive just had a text!
Yes! I asked them about it yesterday. Apparently they can just scan the barcode at the back of the box and add the AppleCare.

Carphone Warehouse just admitted they don't have the watch in stock (despite saying they did at point of order). Rather than send my SIM and phone in the meantime they have done nothing.

Just cancelled the full order. Most annoying thing is they did a credit check for the EE contract. Grr
Well, could be a blessing - look through this thread, there's a 20% EE online discount code on line rental.

It’s less slippery!!! :)

My XS Max arrived and I love it!!! Don’t mind going back to the plus size at all and the gold colour is amazing! It’s different at different angles!!

Anyway, huge excellent point for me is that it’s less slippery than my X! Holding my X in one hand it slips all over the place but the Max is a lot more stable! I may actually be able to go without a case this year which makes me very happy indeed!

I got mine from John Lewis in the end, the apple order is still showing 24-1st delivery but preparing for dispatch so jumped to JL. I phoned Apple and have been assured that if I just refuse the phone when they deliver it’ll go straight back to them.

Very much enjoying my new toys (grumpy that the new watch faces won’t take complications I want though!!)

My bottom antenna band seems to have a small chunk missing, you can feel the groove with a fingernail. Any ideas?

Personally I wouldn't be happy with that, especially on such an expensive phone. I'd go and get it swapped straight away, they'll have no problems doing that for you. It would drive me mad knowing that's always there :(

Remember, that back glass replacement is over £500!

With the bubbles live wallpaper, you don’t actually need to hold the screen. If it’s set as a lock screen wallpaper, if you just tilt the phone, the bubbles will move in relation to the angle you are tilting the phone.
Different effect - I’m talking about the default bubble/ planet wallpaper on the XS. Try force pressing on it and you’ll see.

....my emails aren’t from Barclays, they’re from Apple which shows the outstanding amount of the IUP and that the 8+ has now cleared off that amount. That’s good enough for me!

I've just looked at my Apple receipt again and it does show a section for "Barclays Loan Payoff" so I'm assuming I'll get confirmation at some point from Barclays within the next few days. I think I'm just anxious due to the original upgrade problem!

Sorry to be off topic but is anyone else having probables with the hsbc uk banking app? Just loads then disappears off the screen. Can’t seem to ever open it even after deleting and re installing it

This has been mentioned by somebody else, also affecting First Direct banking app which is part of HSBC group. Assume some kind of app update is required.

Yes, unfortunately there is a problem with the app and the latest iPhones. HSBC are aware of it. Works fine on 8+ and X, both on iOS 12, but not on XS.
[doublepost=1537618803][/doublepost]For those of you having problems with HSBC UK and Business apps, this is from HSBC’s Twitter:

“We are proud to be recognised for our global transformation of IT and tools that make banking simpler and faster. HSBC has won three #CIO100 Awards in the US and India, which celebrate technology and business innovation..”

I have a question about Apple Pay.

I have polish card and it goes to accept the term and condition durning setting up the card, but than it says that card couldn't be added. Is that because the card is polish and the phone and iCloud are british?

I wanted to add my scottish bank too but TSB is 100 years behind and it just refuses it.

Some bank cards do not support Apple Pay

Full day in with my Xs max... can’t keep it out my hands, so happy with it!! Keep finding reasons to look at my phone just to get some time in with this amazing screen!

I’m also in this boat and never got any emails from Barclays about my outstanding balance like some others here did. Could you keep me updated? I’m on my third iUP phone so I wouldn’t worry about anything. It’s extremely easy!

I recently paid off my balance on the Upgrade Programme before launch day. Took best part of a week to receive a confirmation letter in the post as verification, other than the chap on the phone saying so.

Aside from the annoyance of not being able to place apps exactly where I want (come on Apple, it’s 2018), loving the XS Max. Coming from a Pixel 2, it’s a completely different experience. Settled on the taupe leather case with the gold. Although might keep the black leather as well to change now and then.

Screen and size of it is fantastic and while I find myself looking at the notch now & then, it’s not bothering me. Speakers are great and the device as a whole feels very fluid. Android has a long way to go to match gestures. I just hike the battery is as good as the Pixel because that was a major plus point for it.

So this will more than satisfy me until I feel like a change of device. It’s definitely great switching between Android phones and iPhone, it keeps things fresh.
