It’s the mr test in this house although for some reason my husband actually encouraged me to get the max this year lol

You need a lightning to usb C cable and a usb c adapter. I have the 61 W adapter but the 29 W one works too. I use my fast charger to charge my iPad Pro and was using it with my X. I will use it with my max too.

Congrats with your Max! How do you like the max so far?

This is quite off topic, but I can't think of a better place to ask the question

I backed up my old phone on iCloud as normal, no problems with restoring to my new iPhone XS.

My Whatsapp messages all transferred over, all group chats etc all in tact. The issue I'm having is when searching for a message in whatsapp, it only finds results since I got my new phone - ie it won't look up my search term in any messages before last Friday

I can scroll back to conversations before last Friday, and have old conversations saved in my archive folder with no problems, it just won't let me search within them

Can someone check to see if they are having the same issue? Or does anyone know of a solution

Anyone know where I can get one of these?

I’m really enjoying it. Loving having a bigger screen again.

I was watching a vid on YouTube, this one to be exact:

,and was actually surprised that there is actually no benefit to the bigger size of the XS Max.

Both the XS and XS Max show the same exact amount of information on the screen (i.e if you are in the same app on both devices, for example - twitter, both devices will show the same exact number of tweets).

I would have thought that with the bigger screen of the XS, you would get to see more information but clearly this is not the case. The XS Max just displays the same info as the XS but in a bigger format.

If you watch that vid - you'll see that both devices are in fact about 99% the same.

I don’t think many apps are yet optimised for the max.

I don’t think many apps are optimised for the max just yet.

Anyway for me the max is better for watching videos and the keyboard is a lot better for typing.

Apps will be optimised in due course, I'm loving my Max so far, it's quick, the camera is epic. A big step up from my 6S Plus
