Thought you might prefer it over the 8 plus, what color did you settle on?

Regarding Face ID, there is a toggle to disable that feature so the phone unlocks without looking directly at it. It should be in the setting >Face ID> attention.

...thanks for that - will try it and see if it makes any differences!
;)

Went for the boring Space Grey in the end but as its a shiny finish its totally different from my Space grey 8 Plus!!

I also have a beautiful 44mm S4 Space Black watch arriving in few weeks though so will match perfectly!
:)

Anytime.

IMO you can’t go wrong with either the space gray or gold, and a matching Apple Watch, that’s just gravy.

First Apple Watch?
Careful not to go band crazy .

When it comes to bands I lost the plot around the series 2.

Here’s hoping it you might get it early.

Space grey isn’t boring. I’m not a big fan of gold. I think they focused on it a lot in the keynote to push it. I do keep thinking about an Apple Watch though, even if I can’t figure what I’d use it for (never had one).

Don’t, just don’t.......
Apple watches are highly addiftive and accessorizing it can negatively affect your bank statements
-This has been a public safety announcement

Silver Max arrived in record time - ordered last Friday. Unfortunately massive scratch on the screen right out of the box. Didn’t even bother switching it on.

£1,100! I don’t think so Apple. Not doing the lottery this time. Will stick with my 8+/Mate 10 Pro combo I think.

Stores seem to have plenty of stock to swap out. My Xs had a small nick on the bottom band and it was swapped out no problem in store even though they didn’t have any models for sale to the general public they had kept aside stock for swap outs for issues like this

Guys can anyone help me out and check this for me?

When I have a lighting cable plugged into my phone, if I hold tip of the cable (where it connects to the phone), I'm able to wiggle it. I've been noticing that sometimes when I pick up my iPhone Xs Max and it's charging, it will stop charging and then start again within a second or two.

I want to see if the 'wiggle' is normal. I've plugged the same cable into my iPhone X and it also wiggles when I move it.

Ok, Second iPhone XS Max 64gb exchange today.
First one I purchased today had a charging issue with the charging port and download speeds only showing 3mb max 1 signal bar compared to my iPhone 7 (40mb 5 signal bars.)
iPhone X (50mb 4 signal bars) all on the same SIM 3UK card.

Second replacement phone came out with terrible yellow screen but download speeds was better showing 3 bars signal speeds showing 10mb wifi dropping out much more than the first unit.
What do I do here I paid over £1099 for this.

This sounds like a problem with your lightning cable to me.

I think the iPhone XS Max has problems

I done a few test in the last two days both phones had this problem all setup as new no restore/itunes.

I lose signal in my car too down to 1 signal bar iPhone XS Max.
iPhone X has 3 signal bars.

Bike ride 2 signal bars/No service with the iPhone XS Max slow speeds
iPhone X has 4 signal bars never ever had no service before. fast speeds

Workplace 1-2 bars signal iPhone XS Max. slow speeds
Workplace 4 bars signal iPhone X. fast speeds

Home test iPhone XS Max 1-2 signal bars slow speeds
Home test iPhone X 4 signal bars fast speeds

All test done on the same sim network UK Three.
Someone please explain this.

Out of interest, what were your charging issues?

Mine’s pretty firm.

Can anyone kindly suggest an invisible glass screen protector for the Max...the one you don’t see when the screen goes dark !

I don’t like the one I have at the mo.

I’m trying to hold off on upgrading my series 3. Wonder how long I’ll last.

Not very long! It’s a thing of beauty!

Happy I moved away from the space black SS series 3 I had.
