Well i
Oh no!

WE'VE MISSED YOU

We'll be back

TOMORROW

27th September 2018

Aghhhhh
I’m in the tomorrow club too. I was supposed to be having it delivered to the store today but they messed up so now it’s getting delivered to my house tomorrow.

Not to jinx anything but I’ve had iPhones since 2008 and never once had to have it repaired for accidental damage.

Touching plenty of wood right now though.
Only time I didn’t have insurance was the time I really needed it. My iPhone 4 was stolen on the tube in 2012. Id cancelled my insurance about 6 months before as I’d always had it and never used it.

Yeah mine was dispatched earlier and I ordered this morning. I’m surprised it was so quick but not complaining :)
What did you order?
[doublepost=1537987484][/doublepost]I already have a clear spigen case but I’ve ordered a pink sand Apple silicone case and a belkin wireless charger seeing as AirPower May never see the light of day.

Returned my Max for a XS under the iUP, was surprisingly hassle free. Weirdly, having had the 6 Plus / 7 Plus, I just couldn’t adapt back to the sheer size of the Max having had a 5.8 X for the last year. I think it was how tall the Max is and without the bezzle at the top it was a real stretch.
I think I’ve finally concluded that the 5.8 is probably the sweet spot for me.

You’ve only got to look through this forum to see the people who have said exactly the same thing.

All went to Apple hoping for a freebie and moaning like hell when they had to pay £x00 to have it repaired.

I’ve never made a claim on my iPhones AC, but I certainly wouldn’t buy a phone without it.

I've had AC+ on my last 5 or 6 iPhone's and have never once used it but I like you would never buy an iPhone (I buy mine outright) without it. Also, because I upgrade every year I can offset the cost against what I get refunded each year. This year I received £110 back on lsat year's AC+ so this years only cost me £89. For peace of mind I consider that well worth it.

Good thing, gave it a try at least. I was in the same boat.

The IUP exchange was straight forward as you said. As it’s been a few days I double checked it all with Barclays and it was all sorted. The original IUP with the max I had has been closed with zero balance so all good.

My Xs is showing up in my account and I’m eligible to start the IUP shuffle again from the 28th August 2019!

I know I was confused by that but I guess it’s to stop people complaining if there are any further delays or anything

Given how much stock there seems to be available in store, they probably have a good old load of them at their distribution centres

I agree. I have had it on every iphone that I have bought and I have never made a claim. I also do not like using a case on my phone so it stops me getting OCD about them. I think if I drop it it does not matter.

So you went with the Xs in the end, I thought you would once the honeymoon period is over or did you have any other reason? I must have missed it when you first posted it...

I seem to be having a weird issue on my XS - well, its a not issue really but just a little strange..!?!!

I cannot get the live wallpaper to work on my XS, on my Lock Screen (locked or unlocked)?! No matter how hard I force press the screen, neither of the 3 live wallpapers will animate on my lock screen?!!

I don't have Low Power mode turned on so its not that which is preventing it?! The only screen thing I have turned off, is the Raise to Wake feature but I highly doubt that this makes any difference...?!

The live wallpapers do indeed work when I force press the screen within the 'set wallpaper' section in the Settings app, its just that they don't then animate on the Lock Screen...??!

Again, no biggie but just can't get them to work!!!

Wonder if the signal problems are down to everyone joining EE? :D:p

;)

I've had zero signal issues myself on EE so far......!!!

Yep! Without the case it’s great but once I put it in the silicon case it just add a little too much to it for me. Back to the Xs size, which even after a few days with the max, does look small :) but much happier with with it now.

This is until the XXL max next year!

Interesting to see what changes next year for apple. Can’t see any new sizes so I’d think we’d still have the 5.8 and 6.5 models. I also can’t see much change in the overall design either.

So that doesn’t leave a huge amount to change? Go notchless, even less bezel? Touch ID will never come back.

So general internal improvements, camera....

Removing that damn notch, please! But yeah I think camera and features for iOS will be a bigger thing next year.

.....yea, I kinda think Apple has hit the pinnacle of their iphone design - there is not much they can improve on really.

I don't think we'll see, any time soon, a design change as drastic as when we moved from the curved design of the iPhone 3G to the square shape of the iPhone 4/5 and then also from the iPhone 5 to the rounded shape of the iPhone 6 (which is pretty much what we have now with the XS (other than the camera shape).

So another ‘s’ year maybe. 3rd lens on the rear camera.

Does feel like changing yearly is not really getting you a massive improvement it once did. The X to Xs shows that.

Maybe there is value looking back at two year contracts again

Given I pay £64 p/m for IUP and £26 for my simo ee max

Can get an EE contract for £88 p/m (£40 down and no apple care)
